I was convinced he was gonna let his hands go but I was wrong. Its so annoying to ****ing watch a guy in the peek a boo style and actualy just stand there and take shot after shot. lose round after round

Sorry to say I was a big fan of AA since the first miranda fight but now and cant stand to watch him fight. Dirrel, froch, ward fights, AA did the same stupid style and its not winning, helping him one bit. I forsure thought he would makes some changes and give ward some trouble but who was i kinding

He should go back to 160 and stay there.

anybody else think he would be way better if he work on his head movement and did some bobbing and weeving style? He just ****ing stands there. I think if he changed it up with that style he would lands way more shots and not stand there like a punching bag:deal

I will watch AA again but I wont be going outta my way. He lost me as a fan

Abrahams stock has really dropped badly, from a dangerous champ at 160 to a weak fool with a punchers chance at 168. He needs to go back to 160 and try to get relevant there again, with his size and style he cant compete at 168.

It's a style thing. It's not suited for 168, however if he still has the desire, someone like Nazim could make the necessary changes. Remember he still beat Taylor the most impressive of Hopkins, Pavlik and Froch, and again, JT said he was in the best shape of his life, but he fought stationary where Froch and Ward boxed on the move and they were too far apart to end up on AA's punches.

It's not lack of overall skills but lack of skills to overcome distance at SMW. He's just too small for his current style. Now imagine his physique and power combined with the peek-a-boo style, bob and weave in with hands up and then open up with short, compact punches. That however cannot be achieved under Wegner. I've been saying for a long time - as much as I said for Cotto or Pavlik way back - he needs a new trainer, the current one only brought him so far.

Still, put him this version in with someone fighting without slickness and mobility, and he'll shine. Vs. a good mover, he'll always struggle. Sweet science.

Agreed. Got a feeling though he'll be WBO champ soon. Sauerland will make sure he gets Stieglitz (he's German according to the Ring)

Come on now. Ward has real skills, movement, fluidity, variety of punches.
Abraham is just a silly bull.

Including a certain lack of talent.
His timing is WAY off. And he is unathletic as hell.

Abraham can't deal with somebody jabbing him from the outside. He can't move close to a guy with just decent footwork. Instead, he remains behind his high guard, doesn't take any risks and gets pummeled from the outside.

His midget arms were good enough at MW, but not at SMW.

For those guys who suggest he should move to LHW he would get murdered. He can't deal with a feather fisted Ward, the LHWs would decapitate him.

No? His reach was longer than Wards'. Imo it IS a clear lack of overall skill. He is just limited and it shows now that he's fighting world class fighters. He looked monstruous fighting d-level guys at 160 that were standing right in front of him without any gameplan and/or knowing what to do.
I agree with your last sentence;)

i presumed that he lost his composure and confidence since he tasted a defeat. remember he was adjudged as unbeatable at middleweight. i never expected he will perform this lousy on this weight whic is just a step north of his territory.

I agree. I was extremely fraustrated watching him! Why doesn't he use his peek a boo style more like Tyson? I know he isn't as athletic or quick, but man even if he'd bob and weave a little, and throw hooks out of it he'd be so dangerous!
I do think he has the power at 168 to hurt anybody...Just not the style, or movement to catch somebody. Dude needs a new trainer, and like I said just add a few things.
