Its very good for a big guy like Abraham. Heck its very good even for a regular club runner who only trains running. Id imagine guys like Pac & PBF who are alot smaller and insanely fit would probably smash through those times though. I doubt someone like Wladimir could do those times either. lol.

Just read Ali use to do about 6miles in 40min as well.
Virgil Hill use to do 25miles a day!!

I'm just curious dude. How many wins did it take for you to hop on the Pavlik bandwagon? He was at 26-0 entering the Zuniga bout. Abraham is at 31-0 now. :deal

Awesome article! Thanks for the link!

I think he's officially my favorite SMW, and one of my Top 5 overall right now (personal fave).

It looks like he got 237 skips in one minute; the record was 241, but afterward, a woman fitness coach got 251. This happened a couple weeks after the Gevor fight.

I'll try to do better! Seriously, that's 4 skips per second. Pretty fast. And 40 minutes for a ten km is more than decent for a guy with his physique.
We should give more respect to all boxers. To reach the top level, they all work so hard.

Actually it only took one win for me to join The Pavlik Nation. I tuned in to Pavlik/McKart expecting to see McKart take this skinny kid to the wood shed.

He seems to be in a good place, talking about flowers and music, but let's see what the Dirrell fight brings, don't think he's fought anyone that fast. I think stamina and durability will be key so he better be able to run the 10K's under 40.

That made me like him more and I already respected AA. I wish the best comes to him and his career...:happy

I think the aritcle with Abraham highlight's just how important running/roadwork is. For a man of Arthur's build, 10k in fourty minutes or less is highly impressive.

He hits very hard & he's no doubt stronger at the higher weight. He's another guy who I'm amazed kept making a weight that was clearly not the best weight for them to box at. Making 160lbs must have hurt him substantially!

I like Abraham. He comes across as a humble guy, someone who appears to respect his peers before & after bouts. This is just a job, just business to him. In another interview with Arthur, he has said his fav fighter of all time is Mike Tyson.

i always thought that abrahams power is reminicent to the great middleweights of the past like fitzsimmons and langford. guys who only weighed approximately 160 and flattened big tough heavyweights.
with his power if he was given a chance, he can KO a proper heavyweight imho. we all know about his chin...
im pretty sure i read in a interview a few years ago that arthur wants to move up to heavyweight one day..?

AA is in for some pain, once the blueprint is made known. I had AA's boxing style when I was 13. His physicality has saved him so far, but it won't for long.

I translated a bit more of the interview...

You were a cyclist in your teens.

I was Franconian and Bavarian champion of my age group but I felt I did not have the talent that was necessary for world class. Besides, being alone riding a bicycle for 120 or 180 kilometres each day is not nice. So I took up boxing in a small club called ETSV 1930 Bamberg, it was right behind a bar. After two years I was German champion, I had put 'em all away. That happens very rarely.

    (...)

You want 50 million € on your bank account ...

... because I didn't even have 50 € back then, you understand? Hence the number 50 million. That is my goal.

So, how far are you away from it?

A little, but not too far. I'll make it. (smiles)

    (...)

George Foreman was deemed as unbeatable before he lost to Muhammad Ali in Kinshasa. Foreman once told us he fell into a two year depression afterwards: "I had gotten emasculated, I couldn't touch women anymore."

I don't think about losing. I don't let those thoughts inside my head. I can understand Foreman though, maybe it would be even worse for me. But I think I could not bear two years without a woman.

    (...)

Does it anger you when you hit hard but your opponent does not go down?

It used to drive me mad in the past. I would hit him like crazy. Today I say to myself, "have patience, Arthur, don't rush things."

The article mentions that AA's right fist supposedly carries a punch of 380 kg (>837 lbs)
