+1 The only people who still care to wax poetic about how devastating and beautiful Lacy was are slappy Joe's deluded fans. It is revealing of how little these guys have to work with that they have to work so hard propping up one of the most underwhelming titlist in recent memory.
had this fight happened when it would of been announced i would say lacy......even though i'm sure now he would of been taken out of there.
Today's AA and Lacy. AA KO him no question. AA beat Taylor. Taylor beat Lacy. Pre-Cal Lacy would be closer, but AA would still get to him in the late rounds and KO him. Lacy wasn't that good.
AA wins easily. Lacy met NOONE before Calzaghe. He had even fights with Wiggins and many other nohopers. AA wins easily - I think within 5-6 rounds after punishing Lacy.
AA is much harder to hit than Lacy. Dirrell had the speed and skills to get through AA's guard, Lacy would not. I also don't see Lacy do well mentally when thingsdon't go his way.
@ tays001 Sry tays but the Reid that Lacy fought was NOWHERE near a decent Reid, not by a long shot. Reid was old and very under prepared due to having no gym arranged for him by the Lacy team,as was agreed. Reid trained on pads by the pool with no sparring. It even took an illegal knock down for Lacy to drop Reid 1st time round. The peak Reid who fought Calzaghe would have destroyed Lacy and possibly even have stopped him, no question. I made £20 on the Calzaghe result as I new Lacy was **** based on his fight with the aged Reid. However, I believe Abraham to be boring, indolent and quite limited so pre calzaghe Lacy actually has a chance of beating him, a good chance to. If A.A. wasn't so boring I'd say it could be a slug fest but,in reality, it would be A.A. waiting for Lacy to tire before throwing a punch of his own, say around round 7-9. This one could be a toss up.
