AA vs Ward Anybody else smell on upset?

I think Ward wins a boring UD. I really can't imagine it going any other way.

 

I see it a though fight for Ward cos Ward likes to fight on the inside. Abraham has trouble with distance but if Ward will be coming in voluntarily. I wish Ward KO Abraham. Now that would be something but it wont happen.

 

Ward wins it harder than Froch & Dirrell did. That doesn't mean that Ward is weaker. It's all about styles.
Now I have a challenge: how big of an upset will this be if AA pulls it off (KO, of course; UD is impossible)? Take your time. Try going back in time 2.5 years, prior to Kessler vs. Ward to fully sense the upset that took place then. Which is a bigger upset? For me Kessler-Ward.

So, hum.. hey, Arthur. What happens if you get battered all night hitting air from the outside and getting outhustled on the inside? Are you gonna fight again?

Throw 'accidental' headbutts in the mix, and we have an angry, desperate AA. Oh, and a couple of Armenians to back him up too.

This could actually be a very exciting fight after they both reach cruising speed. Say around the 5th and on.

 

Abraham is going to get a boxing lesson. Ward should charge him.

 

Abraham got exposed against Dirrell. Froch took that blueprint layed out by Dirrell and easily beat Abraham. I expect Ward to do the same. Abraham is going to have to do something different to win.

 

Nope, come on a guy with limited skills like froch easily outboxed abraham, add to that his loss and loss of confidence versus dirrell, he now doesnt even have the idea that he was tracking down dirrell towards the end of the fight and may have got to him, because he got nowhere near froch and ward is much quicker than froch. As well as that the guy must be seriously demoralised, which may end up being his biggest problem. If things start to look the same he may well totally fall apart. Ward shouldnt even bother trying to get hometown judges this time.

His only hope is a Really lucky punch right on the botton and if ward finds a good rhythm thats highly unlikely

 

The Super Six conclusion will see some drastic changes in the SMW rankings. First we see the implosion of Taylor, and soon I expect to see A.A., Kessler, and perhaps Dirrell possibly winding up there careers.

A.A. and Kessler because now that they have finally consistently meet with top fighters, our on-going suspicions have about them have been confirmed of their being over-hyped in Europe and their records having been built up by fighting a gaggle of European bums. :yep

 

Ward is going to humiliate him

 

Demonstration of an Abrahammer situation... if Ward insists on fighting at mid range closing in on the inside all the time, chances are AA will time huge hooks like this one correctly at least once then we'll see how much Ward can really take. Ward will probably try to be slick at mid range, and what happens at slow motion 0:12-0:13 is possible if Ward is not focused 100% of the time.

He doesn't have Froch's reach, nor does he usually move as much as Dirrell. AA is coming out blasting.

 

Smell an upsets? No -- but a do think I smell something foul. It's the stench of Abraham's mediocre career melting down.

 

(from the Scene) - Froch says AA only needs to land flush once on Ward to turn the fight around. Means he favors Ward, but still gives Abraham a fair puncher's chance to KO/TKO Ward.


Froch indeed respected AA's power in their fight, he never went all out brawling exposing himself in AA's comfort range.

 

Wow, that was BRUTAL!

The odds of him landing that kinda shot on Ward are practically zero tho.
