You exposed yourself with the Gatti,Augustus comparison ...You truly know your boxing ;) You truly are special saying that Pryor fought like the fighters you mentioned... We all thank you for the laughs ;);)

In fact, Pryor's pedigree is somewhat comparable to Floyd's at the amateur level. Pryor's skill set is often overlooked thanks to two bouts that overshadow a wonderful body of work. Think Maidana, 1st match, but only with far more intelligence, precision, better timing and a rare resolve reserved for the greats.

To me, Pryor's workrate could well be the difference between the two.

Aaron pryor, UD. The Hawk was awesome, but he could get hit and mayweather would hit em alot. but pryor hits him more for the dec.

I don't particularly care how many fools despise Mayweather the person, but ONLY fools think he is easily beaten by ANYONE in his prime.

True, but then again his prime wasn't at 140.

Are you saying we match Pryor against a 36 year old Mayweather who fought a lazy fight in terms of strategy? AND we're gonna throw out professional pedigrees in favor of amateur ones.

The real bouts of interest would pit Floyd against beasts like Gatti and Augustus... Talk about pedigrees ;) Who was Pryor anyway ?

Hearns, and SRL give Floyd a beating. Hearns gets it done quick, SRL a few rds of working him figuring out his style. Then a late rd TKO. What would we say was Floyd,s prime ?

I'd say his prime was between 98, and 2007. The weights are immaterial IMO, but for sure, no one past or present beats that guy easily.

Oh, okay. So we're throwing out Floyd's entire resume above and below 140 so now Hawk has the better resume.

Can we also say that Hawk's punch output will stay above 100 per round with the same connect percentage as against arguello? Now the deck is really stacked against Duckweather.

I was using sarcasm as a guy on here said Pryor was noting special. I feel that @140, Pryor is too much everything for Floyd...

hard to say for sure. If Hearns catches early in a fight it could end quickly, as could SRL and Duran, basically if any great puncher catches a fighter, including Mayweather, early in the rounds it could end quickly.

Old Mosely rocks Floyd and then stops punching, I promise you that if Hearns,Duran or Leonard hurt him like that, he,s done...
