The most similair fighter Pac-man fought in these weight ranges was Antonio Margarito. Constant pressure with less power. It goes without saying Margarito is worse than Pryor in evrey area besides chin. I'd favour Pryor. Forgetting the Hatton fight, Manny likes to light his opponents up with 50% power left hands until he feels good enough to start swarming guys. I don't think Pryor would allow him to do this early on. Of course Pacquiao's straighter punches would get there first but Pryor's aggression would be too much for me. Who know mabye Pacquiao could do what he did to Hatton but I woulden't fancy it. 70-30 Pryor for me. Stylistically tough fight for Manny.

Why a catchweight, not 140 lbs?

Pryor might surprise everyone and box.....which he can do.

    At 15 rds, Pryor in a 9-6 rd decision....sweeping last 3 rds.

I find it very difficult to go against Pryor at 140 pounds.

As much as I am in awe of Pryor's destructions of Arguello, Pryor was hit flush numerous times in those fights. And while Arguello is an even harder puncher than Manny, his punch output per round is I suspect not nearly as prolific as Manny. Manny's hand speed would seem him get off first during exchanges, and connecting often. Pryor's heavy hands thrown from strange angles in his hyper aggressive, jerky, relentless manner would force Pacquiao on the back foot, where he would use his unheralded foot speed to good effect. I think Pacquiao takes this on points if he survives past the 5th round.

Pacquaio, they'll exchange and Manny is a much quicker and straighter sharper puncher and can match Pryor's workrate. If Pryor can get inside and back him up it becomes interesting, but I'd still pick Manny

No, the most similar would be Bradley or Hatton, Pryor being better than both though

I agree with the general idea here. Pryor will go right at Manny, not forcing him to set up his range, they'll trade, and Manny can just about match him for power, has superior speed, and tends to throw straighter shots. I just think he'd get off more. Ridiculously fun fight though. God damn amazing it would be.

    Good matchup.

The interesting thing is that both of these fighters can hurt you from unconventional, awkward angles. Both have handspeed and power to go with it.

Endless stamina on both sides and a high workrate.

Wow. Im gonna go with Aaron Pryor. He was just a Tiger. He had that little extra something that makes the legendary champions. It would be a cliche but he refused to lose in those critical moments.

Aaron Pryor gets up off the canvas to win a 15 round decision.

I agree with PowerPuncher and the cobra.

However, if Pryor started to box the way he did late on in the 1st Arguello fight, that would change the face of the fight.

Ultimately, I still think Pac could drag him back into war, and would edge this type of fight against Pryor.

This is kind of the reason for my thread on this page, there are scarcely any modern fighters who could take peak Pacquiao on in his type of fight and beat him, IMO.

pac's plan a is better but pryor does more things well, if pryor fights smart he certainley could do enough for the decision.

I guess Hatton would be close, but evrey time I've seen Pryor I associate him with never ending pressure which is a trait Hatton and Margarito possess, personally I woulden't say Bradley, I think he's more of a intelligent pressure fighter who uses distance for safety.
