I think Whitaker would win, but I feel like Pryor actually had faster hand speed than Whitaker.

I accept your concession on all fronts. You couldn't answer the questions posed because they go against your Pryor Onezee fantasy. This is boxing bud, not a fantasy site.

Was there a second AA vs Pryor fight w/o a "black bottle"?

This is a really interesting one because I don't either fighter fought someone with a style like the other's so it's hard to pick a winner because of that.

I can see Pryor's workrate overwhelming Whitaker over the course of 15 but I can also see Whitaker frustrating Pryor and nullifying his attacks.

Hmmm, I'm leaning towards Pryor but not with any great confidence.

Hawk's jab is something Whittaker had never seen the like of. A close but clear decision for Pryor.

This would be a very interesting matchup. It is usually very difficult to pick against Whitaker. He was successful in diffusing so many good offensive operators. But, at 140, I think he would have met his match in the indefatigable Pryor. I will take the Hawk to outfight Whitaker for a close decision win. Unlike the older version of Chavez that Whitaker did meet in the ring, I don't think Pryor would get discouraged.

I love Whitaker, and unlike some believe on this site, he had far more quality wins (or should have) wins than Pryor did. BUT..... Pryor with his activity, angels of attack, foot and hand speed, is all wrong for Whitaker. Pryor wasn't a Chavez ,Nelson, or Ramirez. Pryor had the foot speed to stay with Whitaker, the power and work rate to keep him on the defensive. And if the nuclear missiles Arguello landed didn't discourage Pryor what is Whitaker going to do? I see Whitaker doing well early but Pryor's aggression, speed, and power wear him down, keeping him defensive minded as the fight goes on, Pryor winning a unanimous, dec in a 15rd fight, split dec in a 12rd. As Joe Louis once said, "he can run,but he can't hide".

I like Whitaker .. Aaron was amazing but I think Pernell was just a touch better .. it would have been a hell of a fight because Aaron's punch output would make Whitaker fight like never before ..

I love how people think Pryor is just going to overwhelm Whitaker. Like he's this relentless pressure fighter who always swarms you the entire fight and you can never get away. First, that isn't how he always fought, nor for the entire fight. Second, many people tried that with Whitaker, and it never worked. Nelson was trying to swarm and stay on top of Whitaker as fast as he could, the whole fight, and Whitaker used his movement and jab to control the fight. Chavez tried the same, and again the same thing happened. Whitaker's jab would control Pryor just like it did everybody else. Pryor would be no different, nor is Pryor hard to find. Whitaker isn't going to stop Pryor nor ever really hurt him, but Pea's bodywork would slow Pryor down some, and his headshots would gain a little respect from Pryor. He could crack when he wanted to, and gain just enough respect imo

    Hey shoes,

I have a newsflash for you, first boxing isn't your forte, and this is clear by some of your posts. Now that we got that out of the way... There are many meanings and uses for the term fantasy. The one I was trying to convey, I thought was rather obvious. That is, we are talking about attributes and qualities to determine a winner, not who you'd like to know personally or who you "fantasize" at night about in bed. That is how I was using the term, and it should've been plainly obvious.

On a side note, are you still running from my questions that destroy your argument?

Not my foorte, aye? Please tell me which posts of mine you're talking about. Your fantasy explanation is embarressing. You got shown up and can't admit it. I really expected you to admit you were wrong about the fantasy site. Oh well, you would be respected more if you owned up and took you loss like a man. Anyway, have a good weekend backslider.

We discuss hypothetical matchups... that is the appropriate term to use clownshoes. Loosely speaking, sure you could call this a fantasy site, but again, that is a misrepresentation of how I used it and nobody would know what you mean. Imagine, you tell someone, you're looking at a fantasy site. Do you think the first thing they'll come up with is that you're on a boxing website? Of course not, which again is why that isn't the best word choice. I didn't think I needed to explain the obvious to you, but apparently that is the case.

Below is the post I was referring to that you can't address and run from
