Thats my view too. Hector was never the same post the Rosario fight. It was like he lost confidence in his chin. He became a far more defensive fighter and also started slacking off as far as his training went. A shame really as he had incredible natural talent. His whole story reminds me a lot of Mike Tyson's except for the ending. A kid from the wrong side of the tracks gets the gold and then proceeds to **** it up against the wall. At 140 Pryor is too much, it would take all Camacho's cunning and technique to survive this one in my opinion. Cheers All.
That`s true stopping Camacho is a tall order. You need more than just power you would have to have wheels to chase Hector around the ring. He knew how to blunt an opposing attack by moving and or clinching. It made for awful TV but he survived. If I had to pick someone to stop Hector, Pryor might be near the top of list. He had a strong punch in both hands but he also had plenty of speed himself as well as a non stop mentality. The punches from awkward angles. At the end of the day the most likely result would be Pryor by lopsided decision IMO.
Pryor would be one to pick if you had to pick someone to stop him yes. But i really don't think he'd get it done. Duran over 15 might be another to look at but again the odds are against it imo. Rosario (one of the greatest 135 punchers ever) hurt him twice but didn't have the follow up to take advantage.
