chavez was a beast at 140, and pryor was a human tazmanian devil throwing punches from all angles and also absorbing punishment. Does the hawk steamroll through chavez like he did arguello?............or does chavez exploit pryor rushes and break him down?
Pryor was too fast of hand and foot for Chavez, he could also Box when he had to ( Gaetan Hart), Pryor would box when he had to and get his respect when he needed to. Pryor by decision. Plus, Chavez was at his best as LW IMO
I hate to bring it up, but it's pretty much a known fact now that Pryor was a cheater, most definitely in his fight with Alexis. Luis Restro pretty much outed the fact that Panama Lewis would break antihistamine pills and pour it into the water, giving greater lung capacity in the later rounds of a fight. Given Panama Lewis's track record I'm highly skeptical that was the only instance of cheating.
i love how everyone in history beats chavez up......hahahahaaha yet people only started getting the best of him when he aged hahahhaahahahaha
sure... people who say that dont know how to judge a fight.....you act as if chavez was a sitting duck, this aint the amateurs kid, body shots count !!
Taylor and Camacho were suoppse to be to fast and quick for JCC and look at what happen. But I do agree JCC at his best was at 135.
I always thought Camacho was a one handed fighter who didn't have a good balance between offense and defense, if you could land on him consistently you could start to wear him down, he would not drill you to get your respect, he kinda reminds of Malignaggi, a defensive fighter who does not offer enough offense up to keep you off him, albeit that was more the case later in his career. Taylor was beating him all ends up until the controversial stoppage. I like JCC, i just think this is a bad style match for him.
"The black bottle, the black bottle, the one I mixed my self".Hey,they didn't have modern peds then.Either way a most vicious fight, which would be better as a trilogy to get real definition.
at 140 im going to go with Chavez. just seems like he could take everything. i say this fight comes down to points and with Pryor leaving his head up in the air while punching he goes down at some point in the fight and it'll cost him the fight. Chavez by SD
