Aaron Pryor vs. Kostya Tszyu

I never pick against Aaron Pryor.

 

Koatya has a chance. If he lands a big punch at some early point, he could get Pryor outta there.

But I would lean very heavily towards the Hawk in this one.

 

With or without the anti-asthma medication that was broken up into Pryor's water to increase his lung capacity?

Pryor all day every day. Too many punches and angles and too much mobility for Tszyu to win on points, and way too much toughness and heart for Tszyu to stop him. Also, like one of the guys in the maxboxing article said, Tszyu had stylistic trouble with guys that constantly attacked and came forward, he couldn't fight going backward too well. Pryor's onslaught would force him to.

Are you ****ing insane? No one is knocking Pryor out. Kosta Tszyu was amazing but Pryor would eat him alive.

As amazing as Tszyu is ... Pyror is pretty much his stylistic nightmare.
Non stop pressure fighter that won't allow Kostya to find his range.

Tszyu will always have a chance due to that right hand but i am going with the Hawk.

 

Pryor is one of the best ever at 140lbs so I will probably have to give him the edge. Tszyu's achilles heel was always aggressive pressure fighters who could take a lot of punishment and dish it back in spades.

That's not to say that Kostya can never win but he had a bad habit of fighting stubborn at times and would try to slug it out instead of using his boxing skills which would have prevented losses to the likes of Phillips and Hatton. Bearing that in mind it's likely he will try and KO Pryor which would result in him losing 7 times out of 10.

Unfortunately Tszyu didn't have special water to refresh him between rounds.
