Oooohh, that's an interesting one. With the black bottle and that delightful water mix then I reckon DLH would get killed to be honest.

In all seriousness I'd go for Pryor because of will, heart and I think better abilities.

I harp on about it but DLH's stamina has been a major part of his downfall in fights. I just think Pryor would want it more.

Would be a helluva fight though.

Pryor by UD. Lets exclude the black bottle (****ing Panama Lewis cheating ****)

I think Oscar would have his moments, and probably even stun Pryor a few times solid, but I see Pryor just outworking him and outlanding him. Would be a hardfought fight though for certain.

Pryor UD, I don't even think he would put up as good of fight as Arguello did

Don't kid yourself guys. Arguello was a former featherweight and as big as he was he wasn't nearly as large as Oscar. Plus DLH was actually a good closer and showed no signs of fading when he fought at 140. Pryor is a legend at Jr Welter, but the size, speed, and power of Oscar would be too much for the hawk DLH takes a UD with pryor possibly tasting the canvas a couple times.

Although he has a tendency to change his style depending on the fight, but Oscar generally preferred to fight at full arm's distance, bouncing around on the outside before coming in or countering someone who comes forward. He'd have the size and reach advantages on Pryor, but that doesn't always matter with The Hawk. Also, sometimes Oscar would fall into being very stiff and rigid in his style... he wouldn't really know how to adjust to an opponent or switch things up. He'd just keep coming in whatever method he drew up pre-fight, and if it didn't work...

Pryor, I think, would get right in Oscar's face, denying him the chance to fight at distance as he prefers. Pryor is probably has faster and more antural movement than Oscar, and I think it would trouble him. I'll say Pryor roughs him up, comes at Oscar from too many angles for him to deal with, and wins a respectable 12 round decision.

Pryor is a mean mofo who loves to fight.

Oscar is a businessman... who also fights.

Pryor probably does a somersault from an ODH left hook somewhere in the fight, then jumps back in and attacks some more.

See the Cervantes ending as the most likely result with Oscar getting pummelled.

shane mosley beat oscar del ahoya becuase of pressure and workrate coupled with speed to match(or above) dela.... pryor has both these aspects thus i give

also pryor had good reflexes and could box and use angles much more effectivly than other swarmers....boxer/swarmer style is the best way to describe it.

pryor UD with oscar saying that he "got him" and that "i thought i won"

This is a great matchup. Hoya is naturally bigger, but like some have said Pyror workrate was crazy. I want to say Pyror, but Oscar in his prime was the truth. Both can take punches well. So I don't know

Pryor IMO would beat him worse than did Mosley.

An past prime DLH campaigns at 154 for years and gets stopped once at middleweight, yet there's no way he can go the distance at 140? I really think people forget what a monster Oscar was at the lower weights. If he had been able to make weight and fight most of his career at the weight we would currently be ranking as one of the best 140 lbers of all time. Pryor was undoubtedly great, but he was no shane mosley who was a huge lightweight that carried his power and speed to welterweight.

Oscar De La Hoya Would dwarf Pryor.
The Hawk would have nothing against Oscar.

140Lbs prime De La Hoya smashes him.

At 140 Pryor, I don't know if he ever fought above 140. Never mind he did 4 years after Arguello 2. It was over by then for him

    Very close fight.

I'd give Pryor a slight edge, based on heart and drive.
