I think the Hawk gets the judges' decision, but imo Pernell would win about 9 rounds to 6, maybe suffering a knockdown or two along the way.

True, there's a decent possibility of that.

an ATG matchup...i think it would look like Pryor was doing most of the damage, but it would be Sweet Pea actually landing the cleaner shots in-between Pryor's pressure assaults...this is one that the judges would probably screw up, but i say Sweet Pea edges out a SD over a hyped up Pryor...and Pea might have to get off the canvas...

Even though I think Whittaker is the better fighter, I think Pryor would win this fight. Pryor, while not as fast as Whittaker, was a very good boxer when he wanted to be. I think he would have the ability to put pressure on Pernell and make him very uncomfortable. Pryor was a Wolverine in the ring and Sweet Pea just didn't have the style that could keep him off of him. Just a bad style for Pernell.

This is true, but those guys weren't fast enough to pose him any trouble . Just because Pryor was a pressure fighter doesn't mean Whittaker could handle him. I think the Aaron's combination of speed, pressure fighting, and boxing ability would pose serious problems for Whittaker. Aaron is on another level than these fighters you mentioned because of his speed. Nelson was a great, great fighter, but he was slow and small. Pryor was swift of hand and foot and could stay in front of Whittaker. Whittaker was always economical with his punches, but I don't think he could fight that way and win this fight because the Hawk throws so many punches.

Pryor uses his pressure and a late round knockdown to edge Whitaker (15 rounds).
