At this point I will take Pryor. I think its funny that Crawford and GGG are both undefeated yet all I read is Crawford is the great next big thing and G only fought bums. Who had Crawford fought that was remotely considered anywhere near great?. The skill is there to see but until he has better scalps on his record ill take Pryor.
BTW so glad to start seeing some none HW threads. Its getting ridiculous at this point.

Agreed, but since bud has cleared out the division and undisputed JW champion, That competion level is just not available at JW. Bud will have to campaign at WW for ATG status.

Its Hawk time on this one.

I am very impressed with Crawford but the jury is still a bit out, tho I guess his career at 140 is done. I'm going to stick that Pryor's pace and output will stifle Crawford's and take him to deep waters. But to be honest, another performance or two like he has been delivering and this might change. Maybe distance alone will give me the perspective to chose Crawford.

The Pryor who defeated Arguello might just be unpredictable and uniorthodox enough to upset Crawford.

Pryor, as great as he was, fought an undersized Arguello and an old Cervantes. They were still good, but it was what it was.

I would probably take Pryor, but as I've said a few times, I would take 140 lb. ODLH over either.

I'll go on a limb and pick Crawford. I've never been that impressed by Pryor on film or resume.

Pryor could be picked off for many rounds, but his stamina and intensity later rounds makes sure he takes care crawford. Crawford was getting hit alot by Gamboa, who is no Aaron Pryor. Pryor UD.

I didn't think too highly of Crawford until he beat Postol and Diaz easily. Pryor was so wide open i think he was sort of a case a guy waiting to be exposed, who wasn't exposed due to having such a short career. Arguello at 140 wasn't as great as Pryor made him seem and he may have been aided by whatever was in the bottle.

Arguello was basically a pressure fighter who depended on blocking and weaving and upper body movement for defense against combinations. The problem is that such a tactic didn't take into account Pryor's extreme unpredictability and incessant action where one combination followed another in a bewildering barrage coming from all unpredictable angles. To make matters worse. Argüello himself was rather predictable both in offense and defense. So Pryor was not befuddled with what he had in front of him.

In contrast, Crawford himself is unpredictable via using diverse evasive angles and switching suddenly from orthodox to southpaw with deadly effect. So unlike Arguello, he isn't very likely to get caught stationary on the ropes or swamped with punches.

It's also safe to assume that Pryor would take far more punishment closing the distance than he did with Arguello and that Pryor might very well be stopped in the middle or later rounds as the accumulation of getting caught flush coming in took effect. Arguello managed this only occasionally and Pryor was able to walk through it or recover. So I would give the edge to Crawford.

Pryor could box aswell by the way hes shown before he can take his foot off and box behind the jab. I think if he was getting countered easily he would try to box.

the old panama lewis lightning in a bottle claim. If it were true panama lewis would be a rich guy with a patent on bully soda pop and loved by all the nerds, pencil necks, wet noodles that would carry a bottle of whup arse wherever they went.
