Ok i was only wondering if you thought Crawford would be the fave. So you personally favor him. Noway he would be favored by the oddsmakers as reflected by the 10-1 votes in favor of Pryor.

Agreed, everyone one seems to think their was some "special drug" in the bottle, but Pryor DID fight Arguello twice. And stopped him earlier and easier in the 2nd fight without the "Bottle". Could Crawford be a bigger threat? In my mind he could, Arguello may have over extended him self going up to Jr Welter. He in my opinion was at his best at Super feather / feather . Crawford on the other hand will probably go on to jr.middle. But Arguello was a proven warrior, and had a few A.T.G caliber scalps on his ledger by the time he fought Pryor. Crawford has looked good against b and c class competition, but we don't no what will happen when and if he fights A or A.T.G class competition. Sure he has the physical skills to defeat Pryor. Fast hands, very good power, quick feet. But could he deal with the unorthodox style, relentless aggressiveness and great power of Pryor? I've seen nothing yet that would make me think he could. Not yet anyway.

    Bump.
This is a really solid match up. Pryor had the workrate, aggression, and toughness to give Crawford big trouble.
Might have to give this one to Pryor in an epic war.

I'd want to see Crawford against Porter first. Good metric.

Aaron Pryor might get decked in this one early like his title defense against Akio Kameda, on July 4 1982, but in the end Pryor's movement and quickness would be too much against Bud Crawford, It is Hawk Time, Pryor by UD.

Certainly no one with the “name” recognition of Arguello or Cervantes. The problem with those guys is that one of them was 35 years old while the other was rising in weight. Both guys were at the end of their careers with 75-80 fights of mileage each.

I think Pryor has the right style to beat Crawford. The only worry I have is that Crawford is a big dude, and not just big but strong. His size and strength could be enough to mitigate a lot of volume and energy of Pryor. Would it be enough to win? As it stands Crawford doesnt have the experience of fighting off a kamikaze style madman for a full 12 rounds, not many do. Have to go with Pryor
