Coke. And no water doesn't dilute the effects of coke(not the best way to take it though). And coke is quick to take effect on someone.
If I put a good amount of coke in a water bottle and give it to you and you drink it you will feel the effects of the coke.

I've never heard Arguello put it in those terms, and I'm a big Arguello fan who read alot of Ring and KO magazines back during the 80's and 90's.

A little known fact .........most people think that it was just between the 13th and 14th round that Panama Lewis gave Pryor from the bottle he mixed......but the HBO camera's actually caught Pryor drinking from that same bottle much earlier in the fight.....in the early rounds in fact......

I've always insisted that Pryor's victory was tainted....and the fact that Panama Lewis was caught and convicted of cheating....taking the paddings off of his fighter Luis Resto's gloves only about a month after the Arguello-Pryor fight, only strenghthens my conviction on the matter.

No fighter is the same after taking a beating and then one of the most ferocious assaults of head snapping shots I've ever seen that Arguello took that led to the stoppage in that 14th round.....shame on those uneducated that believe that a rematch victory by Pryor proves that Pryor beats Arguello with or without the bottle......

Whatever that was, it was something that made Pryor stronger if not more refreshed. I can say that it was not water.
