Anyone that knows anything about boxing knows SRL is too much of everything for Pryor, Ray knew it too, SRL ducking Pryor is high class fictitional comedy at its best.

 

It was clear as day the man was being sarcastic, really not hard to figure out.

 

Pryor. For short time, he was great. Very short time though. Overall Mayweather has had more of a career, as has anyone who held title.

Pryor should have been on 1976 Olympic team, but he wa srobbed of decisionn in final bout for spot. One amateur boxing offical, speaking annonomously, said ' We didn't want two Leon Spinx types on team." I think if Spinx had gone to decision in final, he would have been robbed of spot on Olympic team also. The two of them (Spinx and Pryor) were wild even in amteur days. I wonder if making team would have hurt or helped Pryor as pro? Maybe the quicker big money of Gold medal would have destroyed him faster, ending chance of his getting to point where he fought Arguello. Imagine impact that would have had---no pryor, maybe Arguello get rated higher by fans, myself included. I thought at time he'd beat Pryor, partly due to Pryors drug use and inconsistant training.
