This. If this is real it could be a smart move by Floyd. Broner is a natural promoter even if he can't perform at the top level as a boxer anymore. He can use Broner to hype his other fighters, since honestly speaking Floyd only knows how to promote himself. Badu Jack can fight, but has the personality of a rock.

 

That's nothing, Breazeale is gonna pocket 50$ millions in his next fight.

 

I'd be surprised if it was a guaranteed $50 million. It is probably one of those NFL type deals where it could be up to $50 million, but only a small percentage is guaranteed.

Broner brings in decent numbers, but watching him lose is only fun if he's relevant. If he takes another 2-3 losses, those last couple of bouts won't draw much.

 

lol excuse me if I’m abit skeptical about the figures being referenced here. Unless he fought Crawford, Pac or Spence back to back I’m not sure how you could pay him that.

 

That's exactly what it is. You're smoking crack if you think its guaranteed 50 million.That being said, it will still probably be a lot more than hearns offer. Good for broner, not even a big fan of him but people like watching him fight and he brought a lot of fans into boxing.

 

I get calls/texts from friends who are very much casual fans when he fights. He's definitely a good promoter.

And like you said, some of the people tuning in for their first fight, or first fight in a while, will stick around and become fans of the sport as a whole.

The math just doesn't add up. He isn't that big of a draw where he can command 10 million a fight. Throw in his opponents purse and other cost to promote such a fight and this contracts makes no sense what so ever.

I'll wait to see something official from TMT instead of a tweet. Cause no way this is real. If it is someone at TMT was high as **** when he drew up this contract.
