On way home this morning, girl and her mother who live on my road said 'you know Joe Joyce?' i went nah heard of him he's boxing in ABA's tonight. The mother looked after him as a kid supposedly a really nice lad. My local club Earlsfield have done really well, wasn't to long ago there was two clubs within a few yards of each other. King Georges ABC and Earlsfield. Nice to see SW London amateur boxing's picked up.
Aynone else feeling a Zbik win? If his stamina doesn't fail him and he fights at a pace similar to the one he fought against Chavez Jr I reckon he can outland Sturm significantly enough to beat him clearly on workrate.
I saw Adolphe and Fawaz in the London finals. Adolphe is good on top, but lost points for repeatedly spitting the gum shield out. Fawaz beat a mate of mine Ozimkowski, he looked very good. Solid, fast, hard punching and awkward. He is looking to turn pro this year. The pro game will suit him a lot I think.
