Alright, I know this doesn't mean that it will happen but they can **** off!!! We don't need another weight class, there's no need to even discuss it.

If you take away the Klitshcko's and Valuev (who ain't all that anyway) the rest of the top heavies (Haye, Povetkin, Chambers, Adamek etc) are all 'regular-sized' heavyweights.

Boxing does not need a super heavyweight division!!! Who the **** would fight there? The Klitschko's, Valuev, Dimitrenko, Audley (!), Tony Thompson and Pianeta. Yeah, that would be ****ing awesome.

You know the gist, Ishy: More sanctioning fees come with a new division:deal. If it were to happen, it would really ruin the prestige, significance and the sense of being completely different to any other weight class in that there is no size or weight limit:-(. HW boxing is meant to be different FFS!

Might as well add an XL Super HW division as well for Butterbean.

Listening to Kellerman the other day when he said something about the small guys having no chance against the Big Boys and there could be calls for there own divsion then contradicting himself by mentioning Dempsey,Marciano and Tyson. The Heavyweight Division is the historic and most celebrated division in Boxing,

By making a Super Heavyweight Division you take away a massive part of the sport. You won't see the Dempsey's,Marciano's and Tysons and Haye's massive achievements. When i see people like them overcome huge beasts with skills and speed it makes me love the sport more. I don't wanna see these type of fights taken away.

As said it's another way of getting sanctioning fees and it would be a crying shame imo.

I think there will come a time where we need 2 divisions over 200lbs but not at the moment and I;d rather they kept the top division as the "heavyweights" for historical reasons.

    What next?
How about a new weight division sandwiched between minimumweight & light flyweight?

i agree. if they are going to create a new division (and i really hope they don't) i'd rather they created a super cruiserweight division.

depending on where the new division weight limits, this could effectively stop LHWs and cruiserweights from moving up and competing with the big boys.

You say that like there has never been a fighter who has successfully moved up to HW from another divison. The HWs are effectively the bullies of boxing and if people want to step up and take on the risk, then I say fair play to them in their quest to make the history books.

When you think about it, boxing is a ****ing mental sport. You'd never have a Premiership created just for the big 4:bart.

This is a HORRIBLE idea that would further dilute the heavyweight division and ensure that the people who are coming into the ring as fatasses will become even fatter so they can make the new largest weight class.

nah. i'm just saying there could be an even bigger gap to cross for LHWs for example. i.e 175 lbs to possibly 240 lbs. then again i guess theres nothing to stop a LHW taking on a superheavyweight without bulking up...

what can we do to stop this crap? its just another way to make more cash. i wish there were no super divisions like back in the old days.

i wouldnt mind seeing the light heavy limit going to 180lbs and the cruiser going to 210lbs

I think they should create a catchweight champion between each weight class and a super champion for guys who want to fight just below or or just above a weight class.

I swear, when I am a millionaire I will sort this **** out. I will buy all of the big four sanctioning bodies and create one genuine world championship per each division. Fighters will also gain the 'Number One Contender' position to fight for the title by actually proving they are worthy of a shot by fighting their way up rankings that are actually representative of the given weight's talent pool rather than gaining rankings for being promoted by a certain promoter or if they can 'sell tickets' like mini-Chavez. I will also buy a nice mansion complete with lake for watersport activities and I will also stop dreaming right about.....................

   .

I continually mention it, but this is yet another reason why everyone should ignore the alphabets and should solely recognise the Ring title as the genuinely legitimate world title. Let's face it, fights don't need world titles to be interesting or significant in some way. The sooner all of the alphabets go bankrupt, the better, IMO:deal.
