Abdul-Bari Awad vs. James Diсkens & Fabio Wardley vs. Nick Webb + Alen Babić vs. Mark Bennett RBR.

I am interested in seeing how good Wardley actually is. It has been impossible to estimate based off his last 4 fights which resembled something from the WWE. Nick Webb reliably put in a good ‘performance’ as expected.

Babic got exposed last night for sure though. He was landing the kitchen sink on Bennett and couldn’t shift him and was hurt at times. He has the option to either bulk up now or drop down to CW, because he isn’t going any higher without losing.

He doesn’t have the bulk to shift the big lumps and a better level of HW will just walk through him.

 

I think it’s a funny one with Babic as I’ve seen a few people say that he would go straight in as a top 10 at cruiserweight and could build something in the division. If you look at who Okolie is fighting in the division next Prasovic I would actually fancy Babic. Likewise I would actually quite like to see him against Makabu.

but he’s gone on record saying he doesn’t care about belts and just wants to give the fans exciting fights. He’s making better money by just going to war with guys bigger than him and carved an audience out of fans that are waiting for someone to eventually take him out.

think he would be happy earning a few quid and eventually becoming a journeyman. It’s clear that he doesn’t carry the true heavyweight power but is relentless and eventually stops most guys.

One thing I will say about him is he’s more entertaining than 90% of boxers out there

Dickens corner weren’t great tonight, even though I do rate Mathews and Georgie Vaughan, however I did hear Derry shout “twos and threes the singles aren’t working” and that was spot on advice. When Dickens threw a single shot he got countered over the top, often by 3/4 jabs hence why his face was the way it was, but often when he threw a double dab and an overhand left he would catch Galahad flush like he did a few times, namely the 1st and 7th. Dickens was scared of getting countered but the only times he got countered was when he threw single shots.

I agree. He showed alot of heart, really wanted it and finished stronger, but was too far behind by then to get the win.

Ryder probably at least tries to exchange with Canelo. Smith had zero ambition.
