Good fight that, Dom Hunt looked better than I thought we were going to get, did a very good job. First time I had seen him either of them so wasn’t sure what we were going to get.

There is a lot of hype about Dixon, looking forward to seeing how good he is when he fights someone with lots of domestic experience.

Looked good that round. If he’s got any real pop he should stop him.

Mccrory nearly nicked that round with a good late surge, but was outboxed for most the round

landed some clean shots again, but doesn’t seem to have any major power as we’ve seen Mccory down plenty of times

Landing clean shots, but his lack of serious power is showing as he is landing probably over 10 punches a round to someone with no guard. A few wobbles but no serious danger yet of stoppage.

Finally a knockdown to the body where Mccory is clearly weak. Jordan Mccory is very clever and clearly good at surfing when hurt, wrestling Dixon to the floor (and losing a point) as well as giving him one in the balls. He’s well open so should be finished but it’s a good test to see if he can get out a fighter who is very stubborn.

Dixon landing big head shots but none really budging him. Referee is fuming with Mccory but he’s able to wind up Dixon easily and is using it to his advantage.

Mccory used all his experience to hold on and grind out the distance, but I think anyone decent quality needs to be stopping him within the distance. I think whilst Dixon is decent he needs a lot of work if he’s going to go all the way.

Ref scores is 77-73 which was interesting giving Mccory 3 rounds

 

The back chat at the end of the second round as interesting, he thought it was going to be mega easy, it wasn’t as easy as he thought it was going to be at that point.

I could see McCory taking 1 or 2 rounds, but in the score cards it was only going to go one way.

You are correct Dixon needs a lot more development if he is going to go to the very top but it’s still very early,

Might have given mccrory the last - think that was a good experience for Dixon but he does need to learn to get out once he's landed most of the time

Good round for CBS. Scrappy work in parts but his inside work was the difference. Ear damage to Bregeon which could change things.

CBS boxed well early on, and was looking like he could turn the screw, but Bregeon came back well in the last minute.

Fowler talking rubbish in between rounds. I saw Liam Smith at a fatboy slim gig last night and shook his hand for slapping him about.
