Abdulkadir Abdullayev: A Fire Rages Across Baku-The Heavyweight Butcher Of Azerbaijan

Abdulkadir Abdullayev is a 6'2 27 year old Heavyweight Amateur. Born in and fighting out of Baku, Azerbaijan. Abdulkadir which means The Servant of God should be known as The Slayer Of Clemente, Abdulkadir shocked the World Series of Boxing in 2014 with a first round KO of durable Italian Heavyweight Amateur Clemente Russo, of course all of the full match footage of this incident seems to have disappeared, but he stopped Russo for the first time in his at the time 22 match run with a left hook to the body. He also holds a controversial victory of super prospect Joseph Parker in a sloppy foul filled hard to watch affair in which he fought like Wladimir against Povetkin. But not to disparage him too much, he's usually a very entertaining fighter to watch, he almost reminds me of a Heavyweight Sergio Martinez/David Lemieux hybrid only a tad bit slower, he fights with his hands down sometimes and ambushes his opponents with fast right and lefts hooks up top and to the body, he wings overhands anything he can land he tries to land. He's fresh off of winning Gold at the European Games. Hopefully he'll turn pro soon, this heavy handed power puncher's style is very fan friendly. Its something about Azerbaijani's Mammadov dropped him at the Olympics as well, I think was up top the though, he didn't go all the way down, he squatted down. And Calic quasi dropped him but it wasn't counted as a KD.
