Ill respond to your points properly in a bit. Kirk, okay I apologise for calling you naive, but the clear as day trends in Canelo's fight are there.

I'm no conspiracy theorist either, flat earth is a load of bullocks. Boxing has historically been corrupt and to this day it still is (countless dodgy judge decisions, dodgy ref stoppages, excessive card stacking, fixed fights (Wilder - Scott... Come on you have to at least agree this was fixed? this was as blatant fix as they come. Just because there's no final evidence documenting that it was fixed, doesn't mean we just totally gloss over it like nothing happened). Can you at least agree there is some corruption in boxing?

So I am to believe that Canelos punch at the seven second mark is completely theatrical in nature, and he either misses just perfectly (I can't tell if it lands) or, if it did land, that he simply knew deep down that it wouldn't make a dent in G?

The punches he lands in the slowmo video I posted earlier that are home run power shots... those were acceptable and he just knew he can hit Golovkin as hard as he can at 40 years old multiple times with no effect? He then pretends to look dissipated when Golovkin is still standing?

Golovkin agreed to go easy on Canelo but Canelo is allowed to knock him out?

These scenarios are really more believable than two professional fighters just... fighting each other? Or a 40 year old just choosing to be safety first?

    Really?

Why not pay Golovkin to feign injury midway? Save them both the 9 10 11 and 12th rounds? That would be the most logical pursuit of less risk.

Canelo doesnt have to take the punches he takes in the championships rounds, and doesn't have to have the boxing world seeing him lose championship rounds to a 40 year old Golvokin (or did G break the bribe there and he wasnt actually supposed to win those rounds? Was he pulling all of his punches there too?

If Golovkin just 'gets injured' then Canelo doesn't lose face by borderline losing the event (not the fight) and Golovkin doesn't even have to take a loss'.

Seems more appealing for both guys than what transpired.

You guys talk about these guys not wanting to take punishment so much so they will risk their careers in criminal conspiracies, when they go through hard, damaging sparring sessions every training camp. Many times the sparring in training camp is harder than the fights... and it's not due to bribery.

It's why they spar so hard, so they are prepared in the fight. Otherwise why not coast through camps.

Sometimes I wonder how much actual boxing experience people have who claim rigged fights after every big fight.

    Idk... just my .02

To each their own.. I'll exit the thread as I've said my piece.

There is no doubt corruption in boxing... but I think it's higher level, nuanced corruption that is harder to pin down and easier to feign innocence that happens primarily between promoters, the comission, refs n judges.

But ya I'll check out when you addressing the points... thank you.

And thanks for the apology, no worries. Cheers.

Would be interesting to have a group like anonymous go through and hack all these peoples (promoters, refs, commission, judges) emails, phone records n texts n expose if there is any uncovered criminal collusion happening.

Not that I'm advocating for it... just saying it would be interesting lol.

Who is Banks the right fit for? The guy sucks. Legit only known as a trainer because of Wlad who was already old and established by then.

Your assessment makes more sense. I also stated, that if paying off the judges worked in the first 2 fights, why change the MO in the third. I mean, if most of Canelo's fights are bought and paid for like these conspiracy theorists suggest.

Right? Oscar can get coked out of his mind and let prostitutes leak photos of himself in girls underwear and many fighters get failed test results not covered up but years of blatant fight fixings are never uncovered.

I think there's corruption but not as blatant as all of Canelos fights are fixed.

Even if GGG wasn't trying 100% the fight was close, at least anywhere from 9-3 to 7-5. for in favor of Canelo. GGG was never even slightly hurt.

Idk if it was fixed, but it definitely looked like a sparring match. Golovkin was simply looking to survive in many rounds and simply refused to throw the right hand and barely threw any combinations.

Typical behavior of a shot fighter to just jab, cover up, jab, throw a few half hearted shots to keep a guy honest, clinch, jab, clinch, repeat. Golovkin is 100% done at the elite level. He refused to go out on his shield even when it was obvious he wasn't going to get the decision. All that size and power for nothing.
