I doubt it. Even though he won both Canelo fights he is not the same fighter as he was around 2016

agreed -- on the decline and surely can only have another 18-24 months left given his age and how busy he has been

He may remain elite in the time frame but probably picks up a loss

Agreed, although I still doubt we'll see him pick up a TKO/KO loss. Interested to see who they match him with. I guess the third Canelo fight is a given but I'm interested to see if he's still willing to take any risks with the other 2 fights he has left in him. That said, if the money is right and with his 0 gone, I guess he probably would.

He's probably capable of operating at a high level for another three years but he would surely have to adapt his style a little.

Lol! I guess Sanchez is hoping for a few more big paydays from Golovkin.

What Fable really means is, if Golovkin can't get a 3rd Canelo fight, he will cherry pick until retirement.

Lets be honest here 90 % of boxing people regard GGG as STILL UNBEATEN !! The sport has become so corruot .GGG could knock Canelo down 4 times , win every round & Still lose a "VEGAS SD:
We laugh about these things but really its heartbreaking to see boxing lose its credibility

I'm a GGG fan. In-fact, he's my favourite boxer, possibly of all time. When I first watched the second Canelo fight, I thought GGG won comfortably. After watching it again, trying to be as unbiased as possible, I thought it was a close draw, although I concede that I can also see a case for either winning by a very slim margin. Admittedly, I'm relatively new to the sport so I wouldn't take my scoring all that seriously. All the same, in my mind, Gennaday should have won the first bout and at worst, drew the second. I still think he beats Canelo in the third fight but not if it's in Vegas. He has the power to KO Canelo IMO but it will depend whether he decides to risk boxing him again or say **** it and look for the KO from the first bell.

    Why not?

That's six fights maximum at the rate elite fighters fight today. Its unlikely that he fights other elite fighters in all six so I think that's realistic. He may well decline in that time but unless he takes a brutal beating then he could fight on at top level.

Hell, even if he took a beating he could. Just on name value. Many have and will.

Let's say in that time he fights Brant, Murata, Canelo, Falcao, Andrade and then Jacobs/Derev/Charlo.

That's a run that's sustainable for three years and tbh that's probably a very optimistic run of fights. It's most certainly doable.

Canelo fighting Rocky so if GGG can't get a fight with Canelo would he fight Smith?

I think he is the same. He just fought a better quality.. It showed. look at the fight he had between the Canelo fights. He was always a take over guy and use momentum to win. Overwhelming style against those guys he fought, but not exactly Canelo, and Brook gave him trouble.
