Not surprising. Golovkin doesn't come across as a genuine guy. He doesn't give two s**** about his fans, doesn't fight the fights we want. He's been caught on video being rude to fans. He's been a hypocrite, and two faced for the better part of the last 5 years. But hey! He has a great smile and fights Mexican style though.
It always sucks to see drama break out to cap a successful fighter/trainer relationship. Unfortunately its all to common. On a side note: isn't Abel fairly rich? I could be wrong but I think he had a background as an independent contractor and made a killing. Not that he should tolerate being paid peanuts.
Rumours say it’s going to be Robert Garcia. I’m a bit surprised though because Garcia did trash talking towards GGG in the past.
Just because someone doesn't throat Golovkin like the GGGoons do, doesn't mean they are trash talking.
(sigh) it's unfortunate if true about the pay cut. That's not right. That being said, we may very well get a better version of Golovkin. It's known that Abel works his boxers like dogs. All of them living and training together follow the same schedule. GGG at 37yrs needs to be brought along much more mindfully in training camps going forward. He cannot afford to leave anything in training camp. Nobody is going to convince this man to box any differently. That's not the point. They need to fine-tune and care for the body of a 37 year old fighter that's preparing for a championship fight over the course of 6-8 weeks. Many others out there will do just fine. Sad to see a another Fighter/Trainer break up with bad feelings The one that surprised me most was Bernard Hopkins/Bouie Fisher when I saw them they were more like Father & Son. I have my own theory over who was behind that sad event though
