Oh so he royally ****ed him over in private and violated business ethics within their own internal bubble, yet because he didn't air their dirty laundry in public he's squeaky clean, while Abel is being vilified for justifiably complaining about the situation? Yeah, that's a weak argument, sorry.

But thats just it. Youre trying to compare apples and oranges.

Golovkin being a fickle and frugal person, and thus not paying Abel 'x' amount, has nothing to do with thinking its bull**** that athletes make as much as they do, or thinking you should be able to cap their salary, or how their earnings effect you.

Golovkin not paying Abel x amount... is just one person being (insert verb here) to another.

It doesnt extend beyond that and has zero to do with an argument or sentiment of thinking athletes dont deserve a significant portion of the money they generate.

And those numbers arent half as arbitrary as you seem to think they are. If you think financial management executives for multi million to billion dollar companies are just pulling numbers out of a hat to give athletes, as opposed to it being based on expected profits that that athlete will generate or leverage that athlete will give them that itself will yield net profits, youre simply mistaken.

And the idea that a team 'carries' a fighter to success is a bit histrionic. Its a synergistic two way partnership each part is essential (promoter, manager, fighter, coach) and very rarely does any part carry the rest.

Yep, they're free to make the value judgment that athletes (as well as actors and other celebrities, musicians etc) are worth paying that much, and I'm free to make the value judgment that that's BS and that no artist or sportsman deserves to be raking in that kind of money commensurate with the societal worth of the "work" they do.

And then if said actors/musicians/athletes have the gall to turn around and COMPLAIN about the millions they're getting and act like they're getting shafted, then I have every right to say they're despicable pieces of shit and I hope their planes crash. And you're free to tell me I'm wrong to think that. And I'm free to say "too fucking bad". Round and round we go.

    Promoters turned down GGG
Sanchez was GGG's ride or die he believed in him since day one.
I'm shocked at this break up, Sanchez was GGG's hype man.

    He'll likely come crawling back.

Well, your free to 'believe' anything you want. But those beliefs define you and determine if youre a rational person or not. Many people 'believe' lots of things. To each their own.

But let me ask you a simple question then.

So, when a Golovkin and Canelo fight generates $100,000,000... money generated ultimately to the names involved....

Where do you feel you have the place to step in and say that the people involved with paying funds for that event shouldnt be allowed to pay the fighters whatever percentage of that generated money they deem they should?

Why do you feel you have the place to say how much a fighter is allowed to keep from the money a fighter generates? Moreso than the event architects that already map these events out?

Or.. Simply... what percentage do you personally think a fighter should get of the money generated for their fight?

I thought Canelo won the 2nd. But Abel was saying some weird, weak stuff after the fight that made GGG look bad. Stuff no trainer should be saying.

Are you sure? Back when this board was esb maybe? I don't know when they migrated into boxing24, but on the esb forums I really remember him being a mod. Myeah, doesn't matter anyway

Off topic...isn't being far left and at the same time a devout christian seriously at odds with eachother? I don't consider gay and transgender and whatever else rights, a staple of the religious nut diet. Or does far left mean something else across the pond than it does here in lowly europe?

not like this is the first time this has ever happened .. anytime you get a glory run like this between fighter and trainer when it comes to an end and it's clear better days are behind them and this is a ploy to keep whatever value they have left for another run ... of course I couldn't be blamed for losing those fights look who my trainer was ..I couldn't think straight in my fights... I had alotta pressure .. with this new trainer a new way of doing things is coming about ... on the other end you got the trainer going "he wouldn't listen to me ..he's a pig .. he wont do road work ..he's ripping me off .. I can't keep him out of the kitchen .. he doesn't wanna get to the gym on time .. .with this new prospect people will see I'm still the coach I ..." and so on so forth .. it's been going on for decades

Lots of heated opinions here but is there actually a detailed information of what Sanchez was making before DAZN signing? And what GGG was offering to Abel after the DAZN deal?

I don't really see what wrong he did though, I mean people assume that GGG left Abel purely for the sake of greed. What if he thinks that Abel has nothing left to give him training wise and wants a change? Is he not allowed to change trainers?
