Other fighters have been roasted for doing exactly that, after their coach has loyally stuck by their side for several years and laid the foundation of all their success, wealth and fame.

Oscar was roasted for ditching Alcazar.

Pacman was roasted for leaving Roach.

    GGG isn't exempt.

i dont fit into any political group. i dont mind anybody thinking im left, or right, or center, so im not worried about how others see me when it comes to politics. i am Christian, so im against liars, and im for the greater good, that which is best for everybody. sometimes that puts me on the left, sometimes on the right, depending on who you hate and why.

Yeah but it isn't a marriage, once things go south and you need a change, I think you're entitled to start looking at other avenues. It's not like GGG sacked him out of nowhere when he started getting money to get a cheaper guy, it's after he took two losses to Canelo. At this point I think GGG can say, "hey maybe this partnership is no longer beneficial to me and another trainer could provide more, inject some new ideas". All that for less money too.

I mean in other sports this happens all the time, managers, players. They get shafted all the time if they stop delivering. Loyalty stays up to a point.

so you agree that ggg knows he lost those fights? otherwise, why switch trainers when youve been winning em all?

Because you can still feel upset that you didn't do more and allowed the result to be contested at all. I don't know how he feels to be honest but two times with Abel rightly or wrongly, hasn't worked out, if there was a third time, I think it may be wiser to go with something different altogether.

He didn't take two losses to Canelo, though. Canelo got a gift draw and then a gift win, neither of which reflects on Abel as a trainer. And perceptions of Golovkin looking worse in the rematch have more to do with age catching up to him than with any tactical failings on Abel's part.

...and even if it had been two legit losses, that still doesn't mean all the success that Golovkin achieved thanks to Abel is thrown out the window.

well, if we go by what the most logical scenario, and stop trying to create stuff that isnt there, ggg wants to keep more of the money than before, and abel felt screwed when told what his cut would now be. outside of that, what do we really know that would cause such tantrums in some of these posters?

Omg, I was wrong, I spent all the time thinking that gg was a tomato can opener, and in fact he was a greedy tomato can opener.

I think that Abel is an idiot, I have been saying that Abel is an idiot for ages. But, 1) he's not a bad trainer, he's an idiot good trainer. and 2) he's right to leave little greedy diva gigi if things went like he tells.

Gee, imagine a trainer and fighter falling out over money then blaming each other for contrived "personality" issues, wow, never happened before in boxing.

If this is true Why did it take so long for GGG to see it??
Where would GGG be today if Sanchez hadnt believed in him ?? Where would B Hop be if Bouie hadnt took him under his wing??

I get the feeling Sanchez is just talking himself out of training triple G a bit actually.. Tribal loyalties began to seep through the cracks when Mexican beef got the *win..

TBH he is limited anyway, look at how useless he was with Gassiev v Usyk..

Maybe G feels that as he's ageing he needed a different approach anyway & Sanchez wasn't the fit for that, hence his low percent offer.. Probably just had enough of each other for various reasons, it happens. Relationships fizzle out..

Ok ...but if GGG has a new contract (DAZN) then he can renegotiate his finances to his trainer(s) & Promoters ( Lofeler) his call & no one else's.
And to say that it's happened to all the other guys ...soo...GGG has to have it to is ..well lame brained ...IMO
