Yes his skills could get him by with guys who hit hard for welterweights

But weight classes exist for a reason

His skills would mean **** for someone who has so much power advantage

Ward is the only person who has both the size and skill to possible make it a competivve with GGG

 

Mayweather would stand no chance with even chris ebubank let alone GGG

 

He should unconsider it.

 

If Floyd takes this fight, I will be one of his biggest fans again, even if he drains Golovkin to 154lbs, it must not be forgotten that Floyd is no 154lber himself and Golovkin did previously say he would have no problems making 154lbs, and that it'd be easier than moving up to 168.

Floyd has nothing to lose. Like he said earlier, he makes $1000000 a month without doing anything. People won't be like 'Oh Floyd is not TBE because he lost to Golovkin', because a 39-40 year old light middleweight version of Mayweather IS past prime, especially considering he was one of P4P TBE's, at his prime weight (130lbs).

It would appease all of us who were disappointed about his shameless ducking of prime Pacquiao, prime Cotto, prime Williams, prime Margarito, and even stylistic threat Amir King Linear Middleweight Champion of the World Khan.

Why does a small Welterweight need to fight a Middleweight?

 

I'm not arguing why or why not, this thread is on rumors of Floyd fighting GGG and I say he NEVER will.
