GG was never going to fight Carl at 172. Look at his circumstances at the time.

I would have liked to see GGG and Froch at 168, 172 was silliness. It is bad enough having all these niggling in-between weight classes, and then having points between those, coupled with weight draining, and other ****, it just boggles the mind. GGG would already have been coming up 8 lbs, or roughly 5% in bodyweight, that is enough, why 172 when Carl fought and weighed comfortably at 168?
Would have been a great fight, if we can just be objective both of those guys would bring it, and it would be great while it lasted.
