You are right and Khan if he should win wouldn't even attempt to make any offer to K2 for Golovkin, at any weight.

At that point Khan would call out Mayweather, and that's it.
K2 would counter by trying to get the fight blocked.

Who would Khan with a MW title prefer to defend against, Golovkin or Mayweather. No need even to bother answering. Khan would go for the bigger of the two, from prestige and money, and that ain't Golovkin.

No they haven't. The belt is held by WWs because of the weakness of the MW division. You can't blame Canelo and Cotto for seeing an opportunity and taking it. If the division were strong the opportunity wouldn't have been there.

Anyway, all should realize that this is just a temporary situation. As soon as the WWs have maximized their opportunity the belt will float back from where it came. :yep

 

As far as I'm concerned, KO'ing Khan and picking up an abandoned title are about equal achievements for any top 5 Middleweight.

I wouldn't give GGG props for beating Khan just like I won't with Wade and I didn't with Monroe.

 

You don't get it. A fight between Khan and Golovkin will never happen.
Khan wouldn't win but more importantly, Khan is only interested in big fish, so he's not at all interested in a nobody like Little g.
If anything, Golovkin is wishing Khan wins against Canelo. Then K2 would be trying to force Khan into a title fight, but it won't work. Khan has other bigger plans. If not Mayweather, then maybe Cotto or Pacquiao.

If Khan could win against Canelo, all he would use the MW title for is to bait Mayweather. If this didn't work, he'd probably dump the belt in the trash rather than defend it against any MW.
