If the MW division is so weak how come both Cotto and Canelo refused to fight at 160? Or how come they haven't unified?
Because they know they would get their ass kicked.

That's more to do with size than skill.

Same as Golovkin refusing to give up his size advantage by meeting Canelo at 155 or refusing to meet Lara even at 160. Skills pay the bills, but nowadays, size can overcome a skill advantage. Vlad and Fury make that clear.

At this point you're just arguing with yourself. Nobody thinks GGG is a bigger draw than Mayweather.

So the division is weak as hell with no skills but the size of middlweight 'bums' alone scared Cotto and Canelo away?
    Yeah ok

Khan knows that Cotto or Pacquaio are bigger draws than Golovkin.
If Khan can't entice Mayweather, I'd expect his next targets would be Cotto or Pac.
    In Khan's mind, GOlovkin isn't even in his plan b, c, d, or e.

Considering Khan took Canelo at 155, he might not even ask for a catchweight. ****, he'd probably fight Kovalev at 175 if the money was right. Boy got stones.

I imagine the business strategy for Cotto is quite different than for Canelo.
    Don't you think?
Cotto is at the end of his career. Why would he possibly wish to go up to 160 and face the biggest puncher at this stage of his career. That would be foolish and any so-called fan who would expect him to is not really a fan at all, but just a nerd who doesn't know shet.

Canelo on the other hand is prime and probably will fight at the full 160, in his own time.
Right now, by fighting Khan he'll earn 10x of what he could earn fighting a nobody like Golovkin.
After that, who knows. It depends on the out come of Khan-Canelo, but I'm sure that by the end of 2016 or sometime in 2017 he will probably fight Golovkin.

But the point is, Golovkin don't call any shots. He is the low man on the totem pole, so has no pull. He has to wait until Canelo is ready and that will be when Canelo has no better options.

Mayweather will never fight Khan (Khan has the style to defeat Mayweather), if team Mayweather wants to make it interesting they will send Manny to pick up a legendary 9th belt by KOing Khan (Manny has the style to KO Khan). Assuming Khan somehow beats Canelo :think

Mayweather vs Manny for the Lineal Middleweight title (They both show up at 160 no Catch weight)

A Mayweather come back fight to fight Khan alone probably wouldn't interest or motivate Floyd

But, A Mayweather-Khan fight in the UK for the MW title would be pretty big.
    For Mayweather that would mean;

    1) 50th win breaking Marciano's record once and for all
    2) Gaining another title in yet another weight (MW)
    3) A nice chunk of change because it could be as big or bigger than Froch-Groves in the UK

Khan can't beat Mayweather. In fact, with the time off, Mayweather's hands are probably well healed and he might even finish his career with a KO.

Knowing Mayweather I never even entertained the thought of the fight happening, Mayweather found a way to beat Margarito without facing him in the ring & he will do the same Khan or anybody who bad mouths his legacy :smoke

If Khan pulls a miracle & beat Canelo, Mercenary Pacman will go in & KO Khan for his ninth division title. Then fight Mayweather a historic fight at Lineal 160 lbs

When Canelo beats Khan, nothing else to discuss. Khan got beaten by a man Mayweather schooled & that counts as a Mayweather win vs Khan as far as TBE is concerned. His focus is on the Octo-Division ATG Champion Manny Pacquiao, all Manny has to do is show up in top form & beat Bradley

That is actually the best scenario for Mayweather. I totally agree.
That might the Mayweather - Pac rematch almost as profitable as the 1st.
