It's nothing to do with that, cherrypicking for me is more like fighting an easy opponent because it's an easy opponent more than anything else.

 

If Ward was a far bigger money fight than Froch/Chavez then I'd say he was cherrypicking easier guys.

GGG fights at 160 while wards been fighting at 168. Wards contract has his bottom line at 2 mill or some ridiculous amount, yet he brings no fans at all. I don't understand why, he was a great fighter but couldn't attract anything.. that's bad for his opponents, outside of froch and Kessler, which opponents made over 100k to fight ward ?

Now we have GGG who sells out everywhere he fights, he gets much less than ward, brings all the fans but makes much less. He has a bunch of mega fights that all take place at mw.

Ward would be the lowest paying fight for GGG, right now. That's because ward is guaranteed multiple mills bottom line.

Even with all the far bigger fights at mw, GGG still offered the fight to Ward, because ward was talking **** and GGG called his bluff.

GGG called wards bluff, offering ward a 50/50 fight in purses AND in weight. They were both to split everything perfectly down the middle.

GGG was willing to put all his much bigger fights at his weight on hold, and put all those bigger fights on hold.

If GGG was, in any way weary of ward, no way would he had given ward that open fight invitation, that's not what one does if he didn't want the fight. That way, after taking care of ward he would still be in his mw frame and build.

What's happening ? Wards looking for another tuneup at 170/72 before going to full lhw. GGG is going to dominate mw, get his 21st defenses then begin his climb that will result in a massive GGG vs Kovalev in 2017/18..

This is what's going to be the end gane. GGG vs Kovalev, both started out in the same camp, GGG was chosen over kovalev, you know that's been eating at kovalev, who is truly the ultimate lhw beast of all beasts.

What many fans seem to not acknowledge is, GGG and Kovalev used to spar all the time. Don't you wonder why GGG was the chosen one. They used to go at it so good that GGG used to admit that his head would hurt for days after they would spar.

But GGG would get the better of kovalev consistently and everyone knew eventually ggg v kov would happen.

That fight is going to be a career changer. Going to shorten both of their time at the top.

Neither are close to slowing down, hell, both are still getting better

K2 wanted no part of a ward fight....and you've basically said as much when u listed all the reasons it didn't make sense financially......then u say they still tried to do it and called a bluff? Guys willing to fight other 168 guys at full limit but wants a catchweight for the best guy .....ya.....sounds like a guy who really wanted the fight

Ward is still near his prime..., he's held in very high regard .....and he's a p4p guy .......he is always relevant in the boxing community ......the fans know who he is.....casuals do no matter......u know ward......we all know ward.......ward bat ing up whatever 168 lbers u want him to isn't going to make ggg/ward any bigger of a fight than it would have been 6 months ago


It's just another in a long line of excuses the fan boys have made up
