I didnt know rubbing the head meant rolling on the floor laughing, my bad, nothing really funny about your post or mine.

What I was referring to was that GGG's history PROVES he'll fight more often than Canelo.

More defenses of the title means more revenue.

GGG is a ringer too....so there's little chance of the WBC having to deal with bad publicity after he gets it. Less money out their pockets tied up with lawyers and PR repair. :patsch

    Maybe that's the emo I was meaning....facepalm:patsch

He's better than Hopkins. What are you going to do when GGG breaks Hopkins record?

sorry man, on my screen its 2 of these :rofl at the end of your post, so it threw me off.
i agree that ggg would probably fight more often, but who is left after canelo that could possibly bring ggg as much revenue as canelo makes fighting a cold? did you see what canelo vs kirkland did? thats kirkland, when has ggg done that well?
i hate that ggg vs canelo isnt happening, i want the fight just like the reat of the world, but i know what the wbc is all about and i know what they will try and do with their title.

My mistake completely, I don't know exactly what each emo means. Ive always though the rubbing the head emo:rofl meant, pathetic, sad, ridiculous.....ya know. Kindof like when one of my kids comes home with a stray dog.

As for the revenues comparison.....the WBC would stand to make more $$$ off GGG because he fights more often and once he's undisputed, he'll be defending it like crazy till BHOPS records are shattered.

Then he'll move N and likely take the SMW crown first fight.

Win win for the Suleiman fam if you ask me.

Give the man his title already.

I really hate seeing a King without his rightful crown.:patsch

im a fan of both guys, more so of ggg after what oscar and canelo are pulling, but i dont think ggg fighting unknowns 4 times a year to beat hopkins record is going to interest the casual fan, and thats where the money is at.
i could be wrong, though, maybe beating up on canelo is the push he needs to get the casuals behind him.

His PPV did 150K on a night that the Cubs vs Mets were playing and recorded record viewing #s. And we still don't know the HBO Canada #s, or the global #s. I know it was up there in terms of world viewing #s. So, the US will come around.

It was a bad choice by GBP/K2 to pick that date, but how could they know 3 months prior that Chicago would look like a World Series contender.

Frankly, the casuals already back GGG, he's just not being maneuvered properly by his mgmt.

They should have conceded to BJS demands for the April fight, or really pushed hard for the Hopkins fight at 166.

Now, they're looking at Wade or Soro or Lee for April, and on regular HBO hopefully.

There is also the possibility of DeGale(166) or Brook(155).

GGG might accept a Brook fight at 155 just to see how they handle the weight. IDK.....but he's not fighting Wade just yet, so there's still hope. :good

They offered 3.2m USD which is almost as much as Golovkin and Lemieux made combined in their fight. I'm also pretty sure they explored the option of fighting in the UK as well and are planning to fight in the UK sometimes in the future. Offering Saunders 5m pounds or however much is was isn't even something that would have been possible if they wanted to do that.

GGG is getting 1.8 million USD from Cotto and Canelo.

He could have given that money to BJS in addition to HBO picking up $2 million USD of the purse.

The money was there, and the fight could have been staged in the UK on SKY PPV and aired on HBO at 6PM EST.

    It was DOABLE.:think

when ggg breaks hopkins ill let out a big "who gives a fock" just like most of the rest of the world

he can break hopkins record...and well....hell never be bernard hopkins......if hopkins stopped his career after his mw reign he wouldnt be as revered as he is now....prob not even close ....ggg will be just another guy....bernard fought on and took on much bigger challenges after middleweight......

ggg will always have baby nuts and fight bums

Its a matter of time before 155 hurts Canelo and he runs out of gas and falls on his face like Wlad did against Lamon Brewster. lol
