Abel Sanchez "Ward was offered the golovkin fight but rejected wanted tune ups"

Like the OP clearly states, Ward wanted the big fight but felt he needed tune up fights first.

Unless you're a Golovkin hater you should be able to agree that fighting him from a layoff is not the smartest idea.

As the OP hints at, Ward has almost finished his tune ups and is now fighting Kovalev who is much more of a threat.

 

Why in the hell would ward duck ggg who is an easier fight for him than kovalev is? Does that make sense to you?

Ward says he'll fight anytime, then asks for tuneups. Jimmy is mad because Ward is a hypocrite!!

Golovkin says he'll fight anyone from 154-168, proceeds to make exceptions, picks a welterweight, and refuses to leave 160. Jimmy is cool, Golovkin is not a hypocrite.

 

ward fought one tuneup in the summer....contacts k2 in September and says lets fight...leaving time for both of them to have another tuneup before a march/april 2016 matchu

k2 shuts down any chance of the fight happening in 2016 by saying "no thanks maybe in 2017 it MIGHT be possible"

I think canelo was supposed to fight ggg from what I remember or cotto so a fight with wart was supposed to wait. Wart knew this and was just talking baloney. Why would anyone be scared to fight feather fists wart? Seriously he doesn't exactly bring fear into eyes of fighters 😁 lol

Why didn't wart meet GGG half way at 164? That would only be fair and the fight would of been made.

because ward was already considering a move up to 175 if ggg didn't want a fight...not a move down to 160...lol...its pretty simple

Guys like Kessler and froch are closer and arguably better than ggg and without a doubt better than anyone GGG has fought Atleast they were elite and in the top 10 p4p at one point. Martin Murray is gggs best opponent and he has never even won a world title. So I'll ask you this jackass who has ggg fought that is within 100000 light years of ward? And who has the better resume?Ward or ggg?

 

Well it's obvious he had no intention of making the fight happen so he should shut his mouth. Let him fight in his own division and GGG can fight in his. He should fight Anthony Joshua who's only two divisions above him. It's the same difference as GGG fighting a lightheavy.
