Ioka opens the affairs with a beautiful combination in the first minute. His head movement is on point already and his legs look good. Perez is throwing plenty but not landing much. Ioka keeps finding gaps in the guard and punching between Josber's work. Dominant opening round for the champ.
    Ioka 10-9.

You would think Ioka would go the Inoue route and try to sign with a big tv or streaming platform to raise his popularity, but nooo let's fight on this random channel where nobody will watch him. Great work there Kazuto. No wonder Estrada didn't wanna bother with you!

The fact Kazuto managed to avoid all of the the four kings at super fly will never not **** me off. Nietes and himself created a weird parallel universe in that division.

To be honest the only one he truly swerved was Gonzalez at light flyweight. He tried to fight Estrada at flyweight and super flyweight, but Juan wasn't satisfied with the purse. With Rungvisai and Cuadras there were never talks for a fight, so Ioka doesn't deserve blame for those fights.

    Round 2

Pérez is whipping in fast hooks and uppercuts downstairs with both hands. Ioka riding it out, shelled up, waiting his turn and then uncorking vicious left hooks on Pérez's ribs. Big edge in volume to Pérez in the first 90 seconds. Ioka walking him down with alternating line drive lead rights and sharp jabs. Nasty liver hook by Ioka. Pérez trapped on the ropes, makes a desperate jump to freedom with a flurry. Two-piece straight down the middle by Pérez, then a three punch combination after puncturing Ioka's guard. Ioka walks Pérez onto the ropes, tapping him on the nose with a jab and then plowing his stomach with a right cross.

    10-9 Ioka, competitive as hell

    20-18 Ioka

Perez coming out with some heat in this round, he's landing a lot more than previously and Ioka is having less success in return although is still very much continuing to have success. Perez gets hurt with a body shot late, probably nicking the round to Ioka.
    Ioka 10-9.
    Ioka 20-18 overall.

Perhaps so, but the fact is not enough of an effort was made by him or his team to make those fights. They were comfortable letting him fight slightly lesser guys in Japan for (I'd assume) better money than he'd get elsewhere.

The trading in this round has been crazy. Both men have decided a tear up is what they're going to have and Ioka is getting the better of it for certain. His combinations are so crisp and controlled, it's beautiful to watch.
    Ioka 10-9.
    Ioka 30-27 overall.

    Round 3

Pérez and Ioka going to war, big body shots flying both ways. Ioka stalking now, fists under his chin. Pérez backpedaling, then abruptly leaning in with knees bent and shoeshining or winging roundhouse rights into Ioka's ear. Precision edge to Ioka in exchanges. Hurtful digs on the body with his left at point blank. Pérez with a nice 1-2 landing on the brow, then circles away from an Ioka left hook downstairs, only grazed with it. Ioka fakes a high straight right and instead bangs the hip of Pérez with a left hook.

10-9 Ioka, this pace is hellish, no way they keep this another nine rounds.

    30-27 Ioka

Third round close both landing bombs

Perez looks like he could unravel if this continues at this pace but he’s giving his all for now
