Apparently hes pulled out through "illness" Kane Baker is not convinced, and believed he's pulled out cos of weight issues. Baker was getting rather upset at the end of the interview. He believes that Fiaz (who weighed in over) just doesn't fancy the fight, as he's struggled with the weight. Fiaz and his team has seen (apparantly) how much kane is up for this, and how much he believes in himself, that he can beat Fiaz, well basically, Aqib has thrown a sick note in. I suppose if Fiaz can't or doesnt supply some kind of medical within the next day or 2 then maybe kane abarker is correct. Anyway, 1 off this weekend's show.
Baker has since retracted that statement on Facebook saying it was in the heat of the moment and emotional. Wished the lad a speedy recovery and hopes the can do the fight at a later date.
Ye, poor lad was in tears but these fighters put a lot in to these camps and the mental aspect of dialing yourself in, as fight night gets closer is extreme,. there's a massive deflation if the rug is pulled from under their feet. I'm sure MR will give him a slot in the near future.
