The reason was for highlighting his contradictions like you have done.


I asked him 3 questions that he wouldn't answer.


Like you have done, I asked him why he thought it was despicable for GG to have asked for 164, when he's perfectly fine with how Canelo originally asked for 155. Especially as Canelo held the lineal MW belt, and GG was a fellow champ and his mandatory.

The second question was with regards to Andre and Adonis Stevenson. I pointed out that many people think that Andre ducked Stevenson at SMW. I asked him for his opinion. His response was that he didn't care because Andre is going to be fighting Kovalev soon, who in his opinion is better than Stevenson. So I said "Fair enough" Then I said to him: "So let's suppose that Andre loses to Kovalev comprehensively, but then GG goes on to challenge Kovalev" Would you still say that GG had ducked Andre?"

No answer.


My final question pushed him over the edge. He said that GG's goals are a joke as people have unified the MW division before, and it's nothing special. He also said they were no great fighters there. Again, I said "Fair enough" Then I said: "But GG's goals are only the same as what other fighters have set themselves at other weights. James DeGale's goals are no different. He wants to unify SMW before he thinks of moving up. And that division has been unified before and hasn't got any great fighters in either." So what do you think about that?"
