A couple of years back after going on a run of Yhonny Perez (MD12), Vic Darchinyan (SD12), Joseph Agbeko (MD12), Joseph Agbeko II (UD12), Eric Morel (UD12), Anselmo Moreno (UD12), Daniel Ponce De Leon (TKO9) and capturing titles at Batamweight, Jr Featherweight and Featherweight Mares had cracked a lot of pound for pound list. Then he faced Jhonny Gonzlaez in August 2013 and was upset after being stopped in the first round. A rematch fell through with Gonzalez due to injury, and since he's scored 3 unspectacular wins over relative nobodies, and has become one of the forgotten men of boxing. Does he still have it, or was he ruined in the one round by Gonzalez. Which of the main players at Featherweight or Jr Featherweight, would you pick him to beat if any?
I'd pick Mares to beat Santa Cruz in a war, faded Gonzalez in a rematch, suprisingly comftably beat Gradovich, and beat Quigg at Featherweight (although Quigg beats him at Jr Feather), loses to the rest but shocks the Rigo fanboys by driving him close.

Me too. On that run he went on, I mentioned in the OP, I picked Perez, Agbeko (x2), Moreno and Ponce De Leon to beat him. I thought I learnt my lesson and picked him to be Jhonny but he got KO'd in round 1.
