    Will be making his return to the ring as he is slated to fight on June 21st at the StubHub Center in Carson, CA. one thing that will be different is his corner as he is now training under the tutelage of Virgil Hunter.

    @Scene

    How do you guys see this working out with Mares + Hunter

    first of all....i will say that i believe virgil hunter is a very good trainer. with that being said....not all trainers are a fit with all fighters. prime example....nacho bertistain. great trainer! could do **** with oscar, angulo or mares. it takes time to mesh with a trainer. some guys hit the ground running if the combination is a fit. others...no so much. i know that hunter will see and attempt to fix all of mares' flaws. whether they are a fit remains to be seen.

    when u take a guy from nothing to an olympic champion...then a world champion in the pros...you are pretty much the **** when it comes to training.

    who else has done that? none that i can think of.

    maybe he is trying to solidify his technique and defensive flaws, a bit like khan.
