    1st fight: Understandable

2nd fight: There is no way in hell anyone can NOT give Mares credit in this. There were no fouls, no favorable calls or anything like that....Mares straight schooled Agbeko, and he did it while having a terrible cut on his forehead caused from a headbutt that was ruled as being caused by a punch.

the second one wasn't clean imo. it wasn't as bad as the first one...but that cali ref let it be known from the beginning agbeko wasn't going to get a fair shake when agbeko complained about mares early foul. the fact that the fight was in cali....with a cali ref....agbeko knew he wasn't going to get a fair shake. that fight should have been on neutral ground.

Donaire is taking on better fighters than Rigondeaux in my opinion and Nishioka has the best resume at Junior Featherweight. I'm sure, as they say styles make fights Donaire would rather face Mares than Moreno has Mares will be more willing to engage and we don't get another Donaire-Narvarez

Accidental foul that wasn't even that low, man.

And no matter where the fight was, Mares was gonna beat Agbeko anyway...He didn't need any help from anyone in the rematch.

Mares' main achilles heel is how often he gets cut.

    It's an opinion dumdum.

If you are sold on him good for you. I know he has a better resume than Moreno at this stage but that can change.

I just think Mares does a lot of things well but nothing spectacular. I still enjoy watching him fight though.

This oughta be a good one here. Moreno is a fantastic fighter with a very good skill set. He looked human in his last fight though. Mares is a warrior but I think this fight favors the taller fighter with the boxing skills but anything can happen in boxing so I will be glued to the tv when it comes on and I will be looking forward to it and following the build up. Good luck gentlemen. This is what it's all about. The best on top vs the best on top. Kudos to GBP for keeping the trend going. :D

I really dont think so. It would be 50-50 in my eyes. We have seen Donaire struggle with Vasquez Jr. and Mathebula. Mares is better than both of those guys. Donaire has looked quite ordinary since stepping up in weight and level of competition.

I really would love to see that one.

I agree that Mares is better than those two but I think he has a style more suited for Donaire. Mathebula is a particularly awkward fighter to face. He hasn't really fought anyone willing to go toe to toe with him since Montiel. And we all saw what happened to him.

Don't forget though Donaire v Nishioka and Rios v Alvardo is on the other channel at the same time. If I had to pick between the two I'd go for the Top Rank card.

Alvarado-Rios and Mares-Moreno would be the fights i'd see.

The other two would have to wait till after on DVR for me.

Wow what a fight!!! Never though it would get made. Man I'm split 50/50, I like Mares but I can't deny Moreno here. He's got what it take to outbox Mares. I'm just glad it got made, I hope both have great, injury free training camps.
