Because he is not scared to take on anyone. Your boy Donaire could learn a thing or 2 about him. Mares publicly calls him out on national tv and his team offers Donaire 3-5 million dollars yet they act like it never happened.

Mares is boxing. I have to pick him here. PDL while he is much better than he used to be is going up against a guy who has such a strong will that he refuses to lose. I always compare Mares to guys like Ward, PBF and JMM. They just refuse to lose and keep upping their level. It is their high skill level but more than that the will to get their hand raised at the end of that fight.

This seriously has to catapault MAres in the top 10 p4p. I already think he has cracked it but I can see him climbing my list even higher with this.

Mares has to be respected for taking such tough fights. Jumping in weight and going straight for the Champ without a tune up. I wish more boxers were of this mindset. Tough fight to call but I think Mares might have enough skills to edge PDL and win a UD.

Gotta go with the youngster on this one. Abner out works the older PDL in my opinion.

Going with Marcos over Lopez....Both fights are quality and present a great styles match up in both.

 

Was looking forward to Deleon/Gonzalez rematch but this is good stuff.

I'll definitely attend this card. The Home Depot Center is a great fight venue, and this is a great fight.
