Mares is landing some vicious overhand rights from outside, but it's all one at a time. Morel is circling to the right, but landing some of his own crisp straight rights on the go. Jabs are about even, Mares lunging with his shorter arms but committing, while Morel just pushes his longer arms out. They both hook at each other and tangle arms. Ref breaks them. Mares stands and jabs firmly. Double jabs. Morel ducks. BIG OVERHAND RIGHT TO THE CHEEK BY MARES!!! Morel has a mouse under his left eye and a small incision next to it.

Yeah, let him think he'll have the dignity of going the distance and then rob him of that at like 2:49 or so of the twelfth.

Then have the doctor tell him he has brain damage so he can't ever be licensed and bilk the Puerto Rican fans of their money ever again based on his name's drawing power as a onetime champion in his former glory days.

Any little dagger that can be thrust into his heart is a good thing.

Mares is leaning over to his left and hooking the body. Just as Morel starts to adjust to that and watch for the low hook, Mares slaps him with overhand rights to the face. Mares is also mixing in right hand can openers to the body, under Morel's elbow. Morel can't keep out all the power shots, even though he's primarily concentrating on defense and b barely getting so much as a jab in himself.
