    :D :yep

Yep. That's why I mentioned the Escalante result. I saw Farhood and Tompkins signing off. I was a bit bummed when that happened. There was still time to fill. They could have easily (and should have) filled it in with the Escalante fight.

Cool, you probably had a fun night all in all. :thumbsup

All you missed outside Texas was a couple of impressive but not OMGWTFBBQ performances by Cristian Mijares and Omar Narvaez. Oh - and the Danish & German cards if you didn't catch them before heading out?

    So...

...assuming you're on a proper computer now and able to provide more detail...

    Tony won all four rounds?

That finishing combo looked pretty savage.

Reckon he's got his groove back? Ready to get back into contention?

Yeah, I missed all the fights around the world, unfortunately. I heard DeGale won, and actually on the ESPN bottom line they had the Narvaez fight. It was actually one of the first things I saw when I got home. So, that was a pleasant surprise.

Yep, Escalante won all 4 rounds. Escalante wasn't as aggressive as he normally is. For the first minute and a half or so, he was taking his time, really looking for spots, not as jumpy. He took his time, and looked pretty good. It was good to see him making a bit of ad--ustment, focusing on defense. But...that didn't last long, after Camacho hit Escalante with a jumping, right hand. Escalante threw that defensive plan out the window.

He then jumped all over Camacho, throwing a big vicious comb, much like his finishing combo to end the fight. Camacho was a bit buzzed. The round ended.

Round 2 started up, Escalante went back to work and dropped Camacho with leaping left hooks and a couple of straight rights. Camacho went down, composed himself, and looked to survive. While Escalante jumped in, there feet got tangled, Escalante got off balance, and Camacho cuffed a right hand to Escalante's head. Escalante went down, on a slip. But, the ref ruled it a KD. Looking at Escalante he was a bit like, "Well, ****, I guess, I'm going to have to knock him down again." And that's actually what he did. He started getting reckless and Camacho was catching him with some good counter shots. But Escalante took 'em well. But, then Escalante, composed himself, took his time, and landed a perfect 1-1-2 that flew Camacho across the ring. Camacho got up, survived the final 20 seconds or so.

Round 3 started up, and Camacho was being slick, moving quite a bit. Escalante took his time, landed his shots. Pinned Camacho down a couple of times and scored well.

Then round 4 happened, Escalante early pinned down Camacho and just pummeled him in a neutral corner. Camacho's corner started moving around, but decided to let it go, Camacho got up, Escalante pounced and the corner stepped in. Showtime might have shown that I'm assuming?

All in all, Escalante did look very fast. His punches were nice and quick, and I liked how patient he was. He wasn't jumping around, in a nervous pace. He was calm, cut off the ring, and let his punches go. If Escalante fights like this, and with that confidence....who knows? May'be he can get back up to the top 10.

Oh yeah, and all three knock downs, Escalante was strutted around like a boss. A bit like, "Yeah, I own this place."

Yeah, they missed the boat, definitely. Oh, also, I think BoxRec is wrong. I'm pretty sure Jimmy Lennon Jr. read off that Camacho was 10-1 with 3 KOs....unless they were wrong, but Boxrec is wrong, quite often, so I think they may have missed a couple of fights, one of which Camacho lost.

Bryant-Andrade What did you think of the stoppage of that fight?

To most of us watching on TV, it looked like Librado was getting tooled badly.

Farhood kept sputtering with an argument of "But...it's Andrade..." but couldn't really come up with a valid reason why it was a bad stoppage.

Hands down, defenseless, visibly jarred & even badly hurt by a few big right hands, throwing nothing back...

It seemed as conclusive a finish as the Bute rematch.

:yep That's about what I saw as well. I thought the ref may stopped it a bit too quick, but I think, I think that way because, like Farhood, because it is Andrade. :yep But Andrade really was getting hammered in there. That third round it was like damn, this Bryant can really pop. And just looking at Andrade, I was like, well, ****, if he Andrade is walking through these bombs, there's not much Bryant can do...and then about 30 seconds later, Andrade's legs buckled he started backing up, and it was...:admin :admin :admin woah ****! :admin

Good performance by Mares, and props to Morel for putting up a fight and going out like a champ, and for that class interview.

Looking foward to see Mares against the other 122lbers. WAR ABNER!!! :ibutt
