Good post. Adamek does look better at cw than he did at lhw. He will certainly give Hopkins a hell of a fight, if it happens. I see that one as 50-50, and I'm a big Hopkins fan.

No he looked better at cruiserweight then he did in his fight with Dawson, and the reason for that is who he is fighting at 190 as compared to Dawson...Now the Adamek fans are tring to sell us that Cunningham is as good as Dawson and fights the same style but that isnt about as far frm the truth as one could get...

Interesting posts... I've been personally cheerleading Tomek Adamek for some time now. We've been riding together since Bell officially on a monetary basis, and I've staked my knowledge on Adamek here on these internet forums because he's ****ing good. For good reason.

He is however going to have some problems with old man Hopkins. I don't especially like the matchup - but there are some positives on Adamek's side of things which I'll enjoy getting into in more detail as we get closer to that fight... Speaking of Bernard; he's another guy who overplays the perfectionist role much the same way Adamek does. Failure to let their hands go has cost both men certain potential wins. Those who have seen Dawson/Adamek have a good example.

Dawson almost blanked him, but it wasn't so much about how good Dawson was, which he is - the problem was Dawson's look caused Adamek to shut down and stop punching to a fatal extent, even more than normal. The Cunningham fight was much closer than it had to be for the same reason - basic innactivity on the part of Adamek. Dawson is a much better fighter than Cunningham though. Much better.

Following Dawson around the ring waiting for the right shots blew up in his face. Adamek would have had to sell out quite a bit more to have any chance of winning that fight, and that wasn't something he could bring himself to do. Dawson being the excellent fighter that he is certainly had everything to do with that.

An active Adamek is a devastatingly effective Adamek. That's all I know.

But he isnt an active fighter unless forced to be, and vs the likes of Dawson and Hopkins they arent going to force him to be more active, in fact they will/did force him to fight at an even slower pace. Hopkins will force him to fight even slower then Dawson did, Dawson isnt a counter puncher, and fighters always fight slower vs counter-punchers..I really think that it will be a boring fight and Hopkins will win a dec...UNLESS Adamek picks up the pace, I have no doubt that he can, but it doesnt seem to be in his natural makeup, if he dont change he WILL lose to Hopkins.

Well, I didn't mean to excuse as much as I did. I was going to say that he's not the same fighter now as he was. But I'm not gonna change my opinion that Buddy McGirt has changed his style, therefore he was lame, but Adamek's not gonna look the same - seems like he reborned in CW. In that fight he didn't jab as much as he should have. I also don't deny that Adamek wasn't outboxed cuz he was indeed.

    I'm answering to Arriba - BJ Flores isn't mandatory for Adamek's strap - it's a winner of Cunningham-Braithwhaite.

PS. BMG was with Adamek in Briggs II - Dawson. During Ulrich there was Gmitruk.

PS2. Chris Byrd called out Adamek.
