about max last night

    i know a lot of people hate max here on esb and just everywhere in general (hell, people i have had over get irked by him). I think a lot of it has to do with how loud he is. But honestly I like max and I think he will be the next larry merchant. A couple of gems from last night. "Paul the Punisher is now Paul the Punished", and "Paul 'the truth' williams may not be the truth, and Carlos Quintana maybe the 'truth detector' after disposing julio and paul". They should keep him on he is a good commentator.

    those lines are cornier than anything Stalone and Van Dame have come up with...Max is a clown and really wish he would stop getting work

    I can see him being the next larry merchant..

    last night, i have to say i made a mental note of how good he was....

    Lewis on the other hand... isnt bad during the fight, i like him during the fight, and what he said about aiming at the chest/neck area was spot on.. but he is very stiff in front of the camera and seems like he thinks of what to say as the words are coming out... lol. i still like him though

    i dunno man, coming off the top of his head with quotes like that are gonna make him the man on that show despite the obvious hate you have for the guy. Your slow ass prolly take a couple of weeks to come up with **** that would be half as bad.

    Max is great and knows his stuff - most of us have a difference of opinions - but it will always be.

    Just remember - regardless to whether he has family ties with HBO - the guy has been working his ass off - from ESPN - to Fox Sports - - to HBO BAD - and now HBO WCB. He's put in his time and someone found him entertaining enough to not only give him a job - but damn near replace Larry Merchant. If it wasn't for us Fans - Larry would be gone by now.

    My only problem with Max is that his eyes are wide open like a Crack Head - but I love the way he talks with excitement. He's really a Boxing Freak.

    i wish more people could appreciate his love of boxing.... unlike some other guys who only think of it as a job, this guy is a FAN...

    No he didn't...he said that he could give Mayweather the most trouble.

    What max said was that Williams COULD be the one to pose mayweather the most problems if he won the fight tongiht. He did not blatantly say Williams WAS the one to pose mayweather the most problems. He was basically saying that this fight would say alot about williams chance against mayweather.

    That's what he said - then he changed it after the fight. He knew he was wrong and he made it known. At least give him credit for that.

    Lenox said "whomever wins the last round wins the fight." Lenox has become grossly biased and so has Bob the puppet Papa. How did Letteman have Williams winning all those rounds ?:patsch
