Boxing is in bad shape when people are discussing broadcasters. Fighters should be what it is about. When Kellerman, Merchant, and others make selves part of show, and try to get atention instead of directing it towards boxers, it's wrong. Networks should stop it, but fans have unfortuneatly gone along, and now we have threads on a shithead like Max Kelleram.
I've always thought Max as a good analyst. I don't know what all this hate is about. He's 100X better than an old Steward who seems to have regressed.
I think Max Kellerman is exactly the type of commentator Boxing needs. Asking the questions that matter, bringing up the issues that matter, on the spot, no BS.
1000000000000000% agreed. He asks boxers REAL questions. For instance, he asked Quintana twice about what exactly he tried to take advantage of Williams. Quintana didn't give a specific answer but that's the type of questions that are interesting. Not the same old boring, run of the mill questions.
its not cotto that he has the feelings for. back in 2006 he backed carlos MASSIVELY to beat cotto. he must have really felt like a ***** until last night
Thats the one i was going to say! It was a well put observation, i used to really deslike his brash style compared to merchant but hes not afraid of the fighters and asks the shitty questions, i think he developed a crush on calzaghe after the kessler fight though!! :yep
