Being orthodox, I have no problems moving to the left while punching or after punching, and in fact it feels very natural. However, I am very confused as to how I should move to the right after/while punching. Can anybody explain how to correctly execute this while throwing the jab? Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Get 2 woody Bands, loop them together, long woodys :D. Put one over yourself round the waste, one over the ring post, or clip it to something fixed, with a snaplink. Pull back so theres Tension then in an arc go side to side as far as you can go keeping the Tension on, bit like a Maypole thing. Dont throw punches, get use to the move ment 1st lifting the back foot and pushing of the front foot. Get the feel of it, it becomes easy, dont jab and move, start by moving then jab.

  4. All in timing between footwork. Although feet position could telegraph your next move so be crafty.

Yo this sounds weird but what my trainer showed me, and really helped me. And now i love going to right is this: He had me standing pigeon toed, not too drastically but just a little. Very awkward at first but when u get used to it moving to the right seems so natural

If your trainer hasn't told you this then something is amiss. When stepping to the right with the jab, whether in rhythm or not, push off of the left foot and step with the right foot first while throwing the jab simultaneously. The left foot glides back into place.

If you can do this with a rhythmic bounce, you can get a feel for moving while hitting but not compromising your balance.

Step and glide. Jab with the foot that leads. That's in any direction. Hope that helps.
