I'm new here at East Side Boxing Forum but I have been in a lot of boxing forums before. I just cannot believe that I would see a thread about Pacquioa-Marquez III on the first page of the thread list. And there are still a lot of fans who believed Marquez won and by a wide margin. Let me get this straight from the members here. They still can't get over it? It was almost seven months now and still they cannot moved on. No offense but, that fight was close and the idea that it was a one-sided victory for Juan Marquez is quite puzzling as when you look at the criteria, it was all favoring Manny Pacquioa.

That was quite intriguing I searched some threads about Pacquioa-Marquez III and East Side Boxing as my keyword and I found a lot of threads that was saying Juan Marquez got robbed. With all due respect, he was not.

As far as my knowledge can go Chavez Sr. VS Whitaker is more of a Robbery. Same thing with Chavez Jr. VS Vanda I, Williams VS Lara, and Rios VS Abril. The classics were Ali VS Norton, and Leonard VS Hagler. I don't think that Pacquioa-Marquez III can be ranked on the controversial fights above.

And one thing. I noticed that the ones who posts things which defends Manny Pacquioa are called *******S and the ones who posts things which defends Floyd Mayweather are called *****S. I think I will be accused as a ******* now for my first post.

I hate to say this, but even though you are correct that there are countless boxing forums out there, ESB is THE forum for anything boxing related.:bbb

Much of the people here are talented and provides good, comprehensive analysis of their opinions, you simply have to learn to ignore the haters, nuthuggers and "know it all" types.
Or better yet, troll them every once in a while.:rofl

There will be biased moderation every once in a while but hey, they own the site so what can we do?

    Welcome to ESB.:hi:

I hope the first line of your post is not meant for me. I'm just puzzled with the idea that Juan Marquez took Manny Pacquioa to school.

Manny Pacquioa that night is not what the fans expect including me. He was like doing a defensive type of game. It was easy to notice that he just wants to counter. The idea was to counter the counter-puncher. That was pretty clever and effective but was not crowd pleasing. The main reason many felt Manny Pacquioa should have lost.

The first 2 fights wer truly toss up's and any true boxing fan had no issue with the decision, the 3rd fight People will never get over it, Manny won no more than 3 rounds in that fight. I will never watch that masterpiece that JMM put on because how frustrated I was with the controversy.

Thanks for welcoming me here. :hi:

I already checked about 60 or 80 threads and I was disappointed when I saw maybe 2 members with 19k posts, discussing things like they don't really know what they are talking about. :confI don't want to become nasty but If I were to rate their comprehensive level I'd say one was horrible and the other one is a troll.

By the way. Thanks for the advice! :good

Boxing forums, or most forums tend to be filled with idiots or children that continue to argue about the same things for months or years.

As for the Pac-Marquez fight, I thought it was close and could've gone either way. Those that score it extremely wide for Marquez have a different agenda.

In my opinion, the first fight belongs to Manny Pacquioa and the second was even with the third that it could have been a Pacquioa victory, a Marquez victory or a draw. Pacquioa VS Marquez III was as close as the second but I could only give Marquez 5 rounds for that fight. A draw would be acceptable and so is the seven rounds to five scored for Marquez. A lop-sided victory is pretty much annoying to read. But I chose to gave him 5 based on my criteria of judging. Those are the rounds where he dominated and appeared to be the highlight of the fight. So when you score it as a whole, you can see Marquez wins that one. But when scored round per round, Manny wins it.

You know, there are a lot of threads here that are only meant to pull somestrings and increase the rivalry between the so-called *******s and *****s, so you really do not even open these unless you are one.But since you are a newcomer, you'll get used to notice these threads bu their titles right away. Problem is that main guys in the industry and the media have taken parts as well and which leads alongside with the guys being at their mid-thirties that there may not be any fight at all. At least, Tyson gave up on one belt, the WBC to fight Evander FINALLY in 1996. It was his doom but he had merit in making it happen.

I have no problems with that. What I'm concern is the idea that it was a one-sided fight. :good
