I thought the stoppage was a little to fast. Chisora was back on his feet and I wish he would have had in between rounds to recover. But it is what it is. But I seen the bell was about to ring so I was upset we he stopped it.
:deal haha no problem with the stoppage here..... Derrick is young and in that state could be hurt even worse, id like to see him keep fighting...the division needs guys that come to fight, not afraid to lose and will fight anyone
I think the ref shoulda let him go regardless of time left in the round. He was on steady enough legs to hold, that's for certain and surely the ref heard the 10 sec warning, I mean as soon as it hit he began to pick up his count. However, I don't think Chisora is mad at all. He likely made a career high payday. He was picked by MOST "experts" to lose, and by KO nonetheless. Why would he pitch a fit, especially trying to win back the respect of the BBBOC. He and Haye both showed they WANT to fight, represent the UK in a respectful but serious manner. TBH, I was completely flabbergasted at Haye's resilience and ring generalship. He held when he was supposed to, tying up every time Chisora looked to work. He peppered Chisora with the jab, and it's ONE of the BEST in boxing when he puts in on guy. He countered when Chisora was wild. He fought a ****ing great fight and even slugged it out which is something we havent seen him do since his bout with Ruiz some 3 1/2 yrs ago. Damned, it's been a looooonnnggg time coming. The stoppage came early for most FIGHTFANS and for all HAYTERS and DelBoy fans. Then again, the FIGHTFANS live with it, b/c a star was reignited in the HW division.
Haye's finishing combination was one of the best I've ever seen, 5 pinpoint accurate punches landing on the button while evading punches coming from Chisora. It was some incredible, matrix type **** that I didn't appreciate in real time.
