but when shown a recent stats of their recent fights, excuses abounds.

so what now joyboys, do u really have an idea on how to rate pac's defense? are you contented with these fantasy match-ups and rating games because you know floyd won't man-up and find his urge?

 

Mosley was fresher whe he faced Floyd, no two ways about it, a year is along time in life and especially in sports many things change in one year. In that one frigging year mayweather took mosleys soul and every last ounce of confidence he had left from the build up to that fight, mayweather destroyed him and it showed big time in his next fight, FFS It took three damn years for freddie to let that poodle in the ring with shane because shane was too dangerous at the time (margarito fight).

it doesnt matter if one combo took shanes heart away because it has already been taken by floyd, floyd didnt just beat him he humiliated him and stripped him of his pride, then comes the chance for pac to take his skelton and he indirectly shows how bemused pac looks in the ring when you step back before he can take a punch.

Pac's D has always been underrated.
And rightfully so because he doesn't go by the "hit and not get hit" mentality.
This is why it's pure, raw entertainment when you watch Mexicans and Pinoys go at it.
They're more of the "be ready to take some, but return the favor ten folds" type of fighters.

Pac's pretty good with parries and dodgies.
When he's going all defensive and not trying to engage, his opponents rarely catch him.
And perhaps his ultimate defense is his unrelenting offense. How can you attack Pac if he's not giving you room to attack?

 

When Floyd fought Shane he kept his Sugar title as he had earnt it against antonio plaster hands.

By the time of the pac fight he should have been refered to as salty shane mouldsly

so now floyd is a soul snatcher now? :rofl floyd obviously fought a less-conditioned mosley than pacquiao. it shows when mosley gassed-out within 2 rounds.

it's easier not to get hit if you would fight floyd's style. pac's style and the warrior in him, makes him more prone to being hit. when pac was cautious against oscar, delahoya could only connect 21% of his total punches on pac. pac has the ability to box and fight off the backfoot but that's not his style. but that doesn't mean that his defense is **** as what you joyboy's like to imply.

 

Mosley did successfully nullify much of Pac's activity with his constant movement; however, in doing so, he essentially nullified his own offensive output.

If Floyd fights Pac using a similar template, (which again I suspect he won't but instead fight Pac in the pocket) I envision his offense, which is already quite economical, to be greatly reduced.

As far as the JMM style comparisons - Marquez is a warrior and showed every bit of that characteristic in his 2 fights against Pac. He was successful in enduring Pac's onslaughts on several occasions. Again, I just can't see Floyd surviving those same inevitable war moments if/when he fights Pac.

this is true. but when keyboard warriors, especially some joyboys would say that pac's defense is "below average" or "not that good", it shows their bias or lack of understanding of defense. they only see floyd's shoulder roll or floyd's ducking very low that is some kind of a defense. anything else is juts "below average" for these fools.
